I still find it difficult to beleive that most Yorubas sees Lagos as their birth right,
All elective post must be occupied by them alone, who ever reprents whom must be them, not withstanding what a large chunk of the populace wants. There is a massive federal government presence in Lagos which has attracted Nigerians from different states to come there and settle, including south west states. The Yorubas partakes in proceeds from crude oil sales which they are using to sustain their governments but refuses to accept that elective post in Lagos which is also a beneficially from our combined resources, should be shared by Nigerians. What a hypocrisy.
If you don't want anyother tribes except yours from contesting elective positions in Lagos State. Then Lagos should declare its country and refund Federal republic of Nigeria all the money invested on its infrastructures.

you don't get the op's point. They don't need people from other region to generate the money they get from oil but U need these people from other regions around(espc. Igbos who are known for imports) for u to generate funds from those sea ports(through levies and Duties).. Its give and take in that aspect.

Even the tax lagos generates, they need people from other regions to generate that much.. U need to come to alaba intl. market to see how shop owners are over taxed...

Lagos is a no mans land simply because it's a federal capital. I say "it's" with a reason. All lagos can lay claim to boil down to this status.
And without this status, it would have look like any other state in the south west.
