TRANSCORP RECORDS 52.5% PROFIT DECLINE Time to read less than 1 minute Share Print a- a+ Published 9 hours ago Last updated 7 hours ago Transcorp records 52.5% profit decline April 13, 2015 - 00:08 0 comments Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) has said its profit dropped by 52.5 per cent in its 2014 full year audited result. A review of the result showed that the conglomerate’s Profit After Tax (PAT) dipped 52.5 per cent to N3.30 billion from N6.96 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2013. In the same vein, Profit Before Tax (PBT) of the company dipped 14 per cent to N7.73 billion from the N9.03 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2013. Nevertheless, revenue more than doubled in the 2014 review period to N41.34 billion from N18.83 billion in the same period of 2013; indicating a growth of 119.6 per cent. However, the company is paying a dividend of 6 kobo in 2014 audited year end, which represents 20 per cent increase over the 5 kobo paid to its shareholders in 2013. Meanwhile, the SacOil Holdings Limited has withdrawn from participation in OPL 281 on 1 April 2015, as part of SacOil’s ongoing portfolio rationalisation. Transcorp stated this in a statement issued to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and the NSE. OPL 281 is an onshore oil block situated in Delta State in Nigeria. Recall that Transcorp, in May 2014, signed the Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”) for OPL 281 with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (“NNPC”) and received full regulatory approvals to commence oil and gas prospecting in OPL 281. 1 Like |

Kevostica: Sir, Nascon price target was recently raised (By Cashcow stock brokering firm) by 36-42 percent of its current price due to its results and expectation of good dividends. Nascon is one of a stock to watch. Plz, this is not a recommendation to buy or sell |
