whatever you're still behind.

It is sad when you Nigerian celebrate things we have been doing since the 80s.

What's not to celebrate in Eko Atlantic city and centenary city?

What's not to celebrate in Nigeria's Rail project been listed in the world's top 10 projects of 2014?

So, tell us what's not to celebrate....... Should the decaying Apartheid infrastructure be celebrated instead?

Thanks to the rule of dictators you have nothing.

Most Nigerians today don't even go to school as BH blew up learning places.

That's because we a superior knowledge of asymmetric warfare than most.

Egypt defence industry is focused on building systems under licence similar to Ethiopia not independent

Our defence industry is characterised by a strong research and development capability, years ahead of Egypt and Nigeria. This offers the SA military capabilities no one on the continent can match.

From missile capability, UAVs, Command and control systems independent from outside countries to howitzers.

Sanctions Actually.

However in the last 2 years, this is how Nigeria has grown, 32 Assembly and auto component manufacturers building plants.

Plus,

-Proforce Defence range of LAPV's, body Armours, Patrol boats, drones and under-development IFV.
-Igirigi APC
-Streit group Nigeria
-Mekahog Nigeria (Ikri MRAP, Fox and springbuck iv)
-Arfa defence equipments
-Inkas group Nigeria, manufactures of Inkas LAPV
- steyr Nigeria
-VON Nigeria manufacturers of Steyr lorries
- DANA Nigeria, one of Africa's largest Aircraft assemblers, Doneir D0-228 and air bettle.
-SPV plant bauchi, also makers of Steyr trucks, C2 vehicles et al
-UAV's, bomb disposal robots etc

*We might also soon see inoson MRAPs, as the CEO of innoson hinted at the production of MRAPs when the presidential committe of defence paid him a visit.

This is what Nigeria has done in 2 years, give us a decade and we would be un-beatable.

Egypt manufactures missiles, Helicopters, Abrams MBT's etc etc.

Egypt is number 1.

Firstly I'm not south african, and I have no problem with xenophobic facts. You posted a video which was not only gruesome but was misleading, I'm telling you to stop doing that, cause I don't want the thread turning into a shithole. I was not calling anyone to go digging for anything, images or videos like that always get removed here, like those cannibalism videos that are frequently posted.

Veseel for vessel, Nigeria has the largest navy in Africa, and the most flexible role surface fleet.....and the only navy that engaged in large scale combat operations in the last 30 years anywhere on the African continent

Nigeria has number of useless small vessels which do not have blue water capability. Such will not stand before a blue water capable navy. Only effective for pirates.

NCOs are on the field to advise officers and also assist in commanding/training troops,NCOs are primary middle-authority that harmonizes the commanding officers with the field soldiers.
What does that have to do with experience?,I strongly believe that experience beats training fair and square.
Training > Experience.

Why would soldiers freeze with NCOs around?

Your FOB has 850 troops.
Your FOB is poorly secured and only has 6 APC's.
The Nigerian base in Sudan is 10 times better protected, I posted images.

Plus the Nigerian military in Sudan also has Super-puma and MI-17 Helicopters.

I'm saying it is poorly guarded because it is, I also stated my reasons.

A country that manufactures APC's can't afford to equip it's troops in the CAR and Sudan. That's pathetic.

1. Thats not the main fob
2. Thats a COP with enough vehicals for 60 men (an under-strength company)
3. South Africa has Oryx in Sudan
4. Your fob has poor entrenchments and fortifications
5. Men in Sudan are properly equipped. Men in CAR were equipped according to their mission - a training operation with a small high-mobility airborne protection elemnt

Largest =/= Best

Without any actual warships Nigeria is unable to perform any operations other than littoral maritime security.

You have a coast guard, not a navy.

And by 2020 we will have completed two brand new powerstations (both of which are the biggest of their type in the world) that together (just the two of them) will more than equal the entire power output of Nigeria

Egypt's defence industry isn't that strong as they still rely on producing products under licence they lack research and development capabilities.

Ghana can produce the Abram tank if they had the support and licence like Egypt. As there's no development what's needed is just to set a production plant.

South Africa is decades ahead.

Show us any world wide competitive Nigeria defence product?

We're building still, while you're decaying. Everything your anglo-Dutch built is rotting away at an unprecedented fast pace.

Citations needed.

We have been pumping $8 BILLION a year into infrastructure since 2013
http://www.gov.za/issues/national-infrastructure-plan

New Power Stations:
- Medupi (4800 MW)
- Kusile (4,800 MW)
- Ingula (1,332 MW)

Bringing a total of: 10 932MW of added power to the grid.

Nigerias total production: 6,953 MW

Water:

- 7 new dams and water pipelines

General infastructure:

- 675km of new power-lines
- 140km of new rail-lines
- upgrade and improvement of 21 000 km of roads

This has created over 145 000 jobs.

This is the last time I shall comment on non-military matters. If you wish to discuss politics or infrastructure I recommend you start your own thread.

Obviously, because they do not have experience, even with NCOs coordinating the charge it would still be difficult for newbies to absorb the psychological impacts of being on the battle field. That is why the initial stages of war are always the hardest part, once the troops begins gaining momentum, experience and a little bloodlust: viola!,you then have an army ready to fight till the end.
What happens if even the captain of a strike team is also going to battle for the first time?
