Goddys: It is not a basic or primary teaching in AMORC. What AMORC teaches is psychic projection. It is quite different and less obscure than soul projection. You can get the complete AMORC syllabus by visiting this page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosicrucian_monographs or http://rutilusdiluculo-cmills..com/2014/06/amorc-master-monographs-index_19.html |

garriboy: That's quite funny but it is a BIG LIE! AMORC is a subscription based organisation which means members PAY to be members. In other to leave, just stop PAYING and that's all!!! AMORC is not a Nigerian organisation - most people don't even know this- it's a worldwide organisation headquartered in San Jose, California. I'm very sure if most of the superstitious lies about AMORC is true, it would have been disbanded in the US. Anyway, the simple answer to your question is that members can leave AMORC at any point in time if they so wish by simply stopping the payment of their dues or writing a letter to the administration. It's really that simple. No one haunts you, no badluck comes from anywhere and no bad blood is spilt. I know of ex amorc members who are thriving well. Most ex members usually leave because they couldn't meet up with the dues or that their intention of joining amorc was not the reality they met.i.e. Some people join amorc thinking they can get rich overnight or kill their enemies and when they realise that's not what AMORC is into, they leave and start spreading rumours. Others will get tired of reading monographs and leave. So amorc isn't for everyone. It's an intellectually inclined organisation. We even have a university known as the Rose Croix University International. |
Re: Ask Me Any Question(s) About AMORC And Other Esoteric Organisations In Nigeria by Nobody: 4:45pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
Radcliffe: I will answer the first question because the second one has already been treated multiple times. For the first, I don't know what you mean when you distinguish between secular and spiritual. However, AMORC has ALOT of teaching concerning virtually everything. You'd be surprised. Even the concept of African voodoo(not practice but scholarly study) is treated in AMORC'S teachings among many other topics. So to distinguish between secular and spiritual is a purely personal issue. Furthermore, AMORC doesn't impose it's teachings on you. It is always stated that you are free to agree and disagree with any teachings so you can and may choose what you believe or practice in AMORC. No one will even know talk less of bother. Everyone has his/her own study habits and may not necessarily be similar in any way. To throw more light on the second question, it is perfectly possible to leave AMORC without anything simply by returning the monographs sent to you and stopping your dues. |

BELOW IS AMORC CURRICULUM/SYLLABUS FOR THOSE WHO ARE CURIOUS AS TO OUR TEACHINGS. The Rosicrucian Monographs or Personal Sanctum Study Lessons (as they are sometimes called by AMORC) were first written in the beginning of the 20th century (before the 1930s) by Harvey Spencer Lewis, founder of AMORC, and subsequently updated by his successors to stay current with advancements in science, language, and culture. These teachings are part of the Rosicrucian Monographs. These are not the only subjects covered by the Rosicrucian system. The list contained here, which should be perceived as unofficial, is adapted from the Rosicrucian Home Study Lessons section of the Web version of the Mastery of Life published by the English Grand Lodge for the Americas also including information from my private library of Master Monographs. A.M.O.R.C.'s Grade Structure The AMORC grades, or as they called, Degrees, are arranged into four sections or groups: Postulant section - That is the introductory section and includes the Mandamus explaining the system of study and basic concepts. Neophyte section - That is the basic section and includes three degrees. Temple section – That is the intermediate section and includes eight degrees. After the year 2000, there was a reformation of the degrees, and their titles changed as well as the name of this section. Illuminati section – That is the advanced section and includes four degrees. After the year 2000, their titles changed. For instance, the Illuminati section was split in three sections: The Illuminati proper section, including the 9th, 10th, and 11th degrees. The Esoteric Hierarchy section, including the 12th degree as an introduction to a new entire new section called the Ordo Summum Bonum Ordo Summun Bonun section - That section has a subsection entitled the Planes, which includes another set of nine degrees. The "Plane" degrees were created by HSL's son Ralph Maxwell Lewis (1904–1987), initiate name: Sar Validivar, during his period as AMORC Imperator (1939 to 1987). Those degrees are purely philosophical in nature and discuss the nature of the Cosmic and its Natural Laws. Postulant (8 Mandamus) section The word Mandamus, which appears on the cover of each monograph, designates the especial mandate that the student receive as Postulant to the Order and the monographs explain the system of study and basic concepts and terminology used in the degrees ahead. Neophyte section Like in ancient times, if a person wanted to study the great mysteries of the world, they would have to petition for admittance as a student and become a Neophyte. The Neophyte would be granted admittance to the Atrium, or reception chamber to the temple. In the Atrium the Neophyte would receive the preliminary instructions and beginning teachings, before they would be allowed entry into the temple. Following ancient times the Rosicrucian monographs are called Atrium lessons, and beginning Rosicrucian students are called Neophytes. Introductory lessons Presents basic Rosicrucian concepts that can be applied in practical ways. One of the first things the students will learn as a Neophyte is that they are a dual being. In addition to the student's five physical senses, the student also has a psychic sense. The exercises in these introductory lessons are designed to gradually awaken and develop the psychic faculty. The exercises allow the students to discover for themselves through direct experience how these principles work. Topics include: Mystical Sounds Spiritual Alchemy Time and Space Human and Cosmic Consciousness Meditation Development of the Intuition Introduction to: Human Aura, Telepathy, Metaphysical Healing First Atrium (14 Monographs) The first Atrium explores consciousness as the organizing principle of matter and explains the composition and structure of matter and its vibratory nature. You'll learn how the creative power of thought affects the material world. This power is demonstrated through exercises in the techniques of concentration, visualization, and mental creation. Topics include: Composition and Structure of Matter Power of Thought and Concentration Visualization Telepathy Mental Projection Law of the Triangle Second Atrium The student's understanding of the connection between mind and matter will now be expanded to include the connection between the mind and the physical body. The second Atrium explores how the students' thoughts influence their health, the role of proper breathing in psychic development as well as health and vitality, and Rosicrucian healing techniques. As the students develop their body's psychic centres, the student will gradually awaken psychic faculties, such as the ability to perceive the aura. the student will also experience the mystical effect of sounds. Topics include: Origin of Diseases Influence of Thoughts on Health Mystical Art of Breathing Rosicrucian Healing Treatments Perception of the Aura Awakening the Psychic Consciousness Mystical Sounds Third Atrium The Third Atrium moves beyond the physical body and the psychic faculties into the realm of the mystical. As the student become more attuned with the inner source of wisdom, they will become more receptive to the subtle inner prompting of intuition, inspiration and illumination. These lessons also explode the nature of Soul and spiritual evolution, reincarnation and karma, and the cycles of the soul. Topics include: Reincarnation Karma Free Will Good and Evil Intuition Inspiration and Illumination The Great Religious Movements The Nature of Soul Purpose of our Spiritual Evolution Temple section Having completed the lessons of the Neophyte section, the student stands at an important milestone in progress along the mystical path. the student are now ready to enter the Temple. The studies in the Neophyte section established the foundation for the lessons of the Temple Degrees. The students have been introduced to the various elements of the Rosicrucian system and had the opportunity to practice many of the principles presented through simple experiments. Now the Temple Degrees will further develop these elements, providing additional depth and practical applications of the principles. First Temple Degree (11 Monographs) The First Temple Degree introduces the concept of polarity and its relationship to the subatomic world and its differing rates of vibration. It introduces the full spectrum of physical and non-physical manifestation. An understanding of these subjects gives the student an appreciation for the system and order of the universe, the interconnectedness of all nature and how everything is governed by natural law. Topics include: Structure of Matter Positive and Negative as Vibratory Polarities Electricity, Magnetism, Electromagnetism and their Rosicrucian definition Subatomic Particles Elements Material Alchemy Second Temple Degree (11 Monographs) The Second Temple Degree explores the workings of the mind. Students will learn how to use various mental faculties to strengthen will, eliminate bad habits and establish good ones, tap into the levels of the subconscious, reason more effectively, and integrate principles of psychology and mysticism to achieve their personal goals. Topics include: Cosmic Consciousness Our Objective and Subjective Consciousness Mental and Sensory Illusions Imagination and Memory Physical, Psychic, and Spiritual Influences on the Subconscious Psychology and Mysticism Third Temple Degree (11 Monographs) The Third Temple Degree explores the meaning of life on many levels, including living and "non-living" matter, life on the cellular level, the mysteries of death and rebirth, and the eternal nature of the Soul. Topics Include: Cosmic Purpose of Life Vital Life Force and Reproduction Cellular Life Living and Non-Living Matter Incarnation of the Soul Transition of the Soul Initiatic Aspects of Death Fourth Temple Degree (12 Monographs) The Fourth Temple Degree introduces Rosicrucian ontology (the study of the nature of being), and lays out the cosmological framework for all creation. It explores the meaning, understanding and use of symbols as the language of the subconscious. Topics include: Noumena and Phenomena Natural Symbols Artificial Symbols Mystical Symbols Sacred Architecture Vital Life Fource and the Living Soul Cycles of Life and the Constant States of Flux Fifth Temple Degree (10 Monographs) A mystic, by nature, is fundamentally a philosopher. In the Fifth Temple Degree, the student will study excerpts from the works of classical philosophers. The student's exploration of the ancient roots of Rosicrucian philosophy will demonstrate the timelessness of these principles. Thoughts of the following philosophers are presented: Thales Solon Pythagoras Heraclitus Democritus Empedocles Socrates Plato Aristotle Sixth Temple Degree (28 Monographs) The Sixth Temple Degree presents the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components of health and disease. You'll learn specific Rosicrucian healing techniques. In the Seventh Degree, the students will learn how to accomplish psychic projection (Astral Projection), how to develop their personal aura and perceive other people's auras, and how to further develop psychic centres and perception. Students will also receive a thorough explanation of the physiological, psychic, and spiritual influence of specific mystical sounds. Topics include: The Psychic Body The Psychic Centres Nature and Symbolism of Dreams Psychic Projection (experiments) Perception of the Aura (experiments) Mystical Powers of Vowel Sounds and Mantras Eighth Temple Degree (21 Monographs) The Eighth Temple Degree explores indepth the theme of immortality - the mysteries of birth and death, reincarnation and karma and the evolution of the soul personality. Re: Ask Me Any Question(s) About AMORC And Other Esoteric Organisations In Nigeria by Nobody: 5:45pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
garriboy: You can review the curriculum I posted earlier to know the scope of AMORC'S teachings. AMORC IS NOT A RELIGION. Members are drawn from ALL religions and it is perfectly compatible. There are some reasons why it's not a religion. 1. It has no standard mode(s) of worship as seen in religions 2. It has no deity or religious figure such as Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, etc. However, it recognises all these religious figures as avatars and illumined soul personalities. 3. It is not compulsory for members to be in touch with any other member for any reason. In fact, there are more unknown amorc members who keep to themselves. 4. The teachings are not imposed so there's no room for dogma. There are a hundred reasons why amorc is not a religion but I think I've proved my point. AMORC is only an organisation devoted to the study and mastery of the universe and its laws. AMORC'S teachings are uncommon because you won't find any school or religion or organisation that will teach you everything about life and make you essentially a walking encyclopaedia. 1 Like |

Re: Ask Me Any Question(s) About AMORC And Other Esoteric Organisations In Nigeria by Nobody: 6:05pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
garriboy:If you are a a Christian you should know the Bible correlates with virtually everything. But like I've always said and will always say, AMORC is not a Christian sect or organisation so it has nothing whatsoever to do with Christian liturgy and holy books. Personally I've made a lot of achievements. If I start saying everything I've gained from Rosicrucian teachings, we won't leave here today. The teachings have formed the foundation for my rising success in life, my intellectual vibrancy and much more too numerous to mention. Telepathy's possibility is a subjective affair. But trust me, anything amorc gives you is tried and tested by millions of others. AMORC doesn't give untested experiments and if it is, you'd be told out rightly. So telepathy is possible and I'm saying it not because I've been taught but because I've had personal experiences. However, it manifests in subjective ways and not how you may think it to be or how the media portrays it. Monographs are sent from San Jose in California and are further altercated via the Regional Administration in Calabar, Nigeria to the student's postal address. |

There's a lot people don't get to know before joining, and when they want to quit, they discover it's near impossible. I have a friend whose life has almost been destroyed just cos his father decided to leave ur organization. |
Re: Ask Me Any Question(s) About AMORC And Other Esoteric Organisations In Nigeria by Nobody: 6:48pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
Valwezzy: Affirmative! AMORC IS NOT A RELIGION. AMORC treats the worship of God as a personal thing. Although all AMORC members must necessarily believe in God, how God is worshipped remains a private affair. AMORC doesn't prescribe that to members that's why it's not a religion. I'm a born Catholic and remain so. AMORC has not taken over my religion in any way. If anything, it has only created more harmonium. 1 Like |

CashVessel:I assert and will assert anytime anyday that your friend's father was not a member of AMORC at all. I've seen SEVERAL members leave amorc easily and carry on with their lives, no one even noticed not to talk of discuss their issue for anything. Maybe your friend's father involved himself in some other things and they caused a rebound effect on him. AMORC is committed to the greater good. All REAL ex members of amorc will tell you this. I've already covered some of the reasons why people leave amorc earlier on. So stop spreading this hearsay rumour that you haven't even confirmed. By the way, AMORC is a subscription based organisation and once you stop paying, you become inactive. Please get your facts right. This is why I like doing research before saying anything because you can never be sure until you hear from the horse's mouth. Show me an ex amorc member who was tormented and I will prove in his presence that he is a LIAR! Another point is that some members of amorc belong to other 'funny' groups. AMORC cannot prescribe what groups members should join or not and so because of this, people are quick to say AMORC did this or that when the person falls into mishap. For further proof, my own dad, a professor in my state university left amorc while he was a student because he couldn't afford the dues Later on when he started lecturing, he renewed his membership. In between the periods, never did he complain of any torment. Far from such, he missed reading the Monographs so much and wished he had money to reactivate earlier. 1 Like |

You associate The Grail Message with religious mysticism. Please can you shed more light on that, and perhaps give some certain aspect of it that claim so. Well, I am an adherent of The Grail Message. I am neither here to promote my spiritual inclination to people nor argue with those of other religious faith who have accepted what they do out their of own free volition. Man is fully responsible before the laws of nature for whatever he thinks and does. If, in his words or writings, he has led souls onto paths that are in error with the Ways of the Almighty, albeit out of 'love', he will not be released until the last of the misled souls is made to progrees on the right path. As long as his writings continue to influence souls on earth when he himself has passes into the beyond, he will be held retarded in his ascent even if it takes decades or more. Let us therefore exercise great care in what we propagate and examine thoroughly beforehand what we accept from others as absolute truth. For those who are seriously seeking for Light and Truth, The Grail Message is intented as a torch that shows man clearly the path he must follow, the Ways of the Almighty and lawful network of this great Creation that are upheld by many servants of His Will if he wishes to attain to the Kingdom of Heaven - Paradise, the realm of pure spirits who are free from all burden. Thank you. 2 Likes 1 Share |

damesilver: Thank you for shedding more light on the Grail message as an adherent. When I say the Grail message is more of religious mysticism, I mean that the group itself is akin to a religious body(though it may not be so because it's my opinion). I believe that adherents take the Grail message as a holy book and follow the movement with religious dedication. That's why I made such statement. However, if my claims are contrary to the reality then I'm open to learning from the horse's mouth. |

Valwezzy:My brother I'm purely Anglican I hardly miss church because AMORC has opened my eyes to the immense spiritual benefits of the sacraments and sentences. If you understand mysticism to the level that I do, then you'll begin to appreciate the often ignored elements of our religions and realise that the souls search for God is universal and atavistic. AMORC has brought me closer to the church. But apart from the church or mosque, communication with the supreme being is purely personal. You can do it exactly as you are, here and now. Nobody has to know, its just you and your God or Allah or any man made names. 3 Likes |

bandiejay: AMORC doesn't dictate member's lifestyle. You can do whatever you want as a person. It doesn't really matter so long as you are not imposing such on others or letting your habits cloud your life choices. You may get membership forms by going to the affiliated body closest to you.
