Yes TY. that is his state.

On that note, I surrender! Abati cannot be redeemed, not in my books anyway.

Funny enough, someone who claims to know Reuben closely claims he has always been like this from the beginning. Just that he did not have the opportunity to manifest.
I laugh remembering when he used to yarn dust with men of sincere intent like Pat Utomi.
With all his intellect, Utomi must be feeling duped when he sees reruns of Patito gang.

I am tempted to say something but let me refrain.

Even I feel duped! I'd like to ask him (Abati) if he's ever watched re-runs

I am with Naijababe

I think Nuhu can still be useful.

Abati on the otherhand, offers nothing, not even to his own family.

Like they say, every dog has its day. Unfortunately, Abati is a rat.

Give me a hug Katz, Nuhu in my opinion genuinely mean well for Nigeria and given the dearth of 'good men' in our political landscape, it will be a huge shame if Nuhu gets consigned to ignominy just like that.

Before you disappear, please say a kind word for your friend Mallam Nuhu. How did he destroy so much goodwill in such a short time? Are we too quick in pronouncing the Messiahship of men and women who have not been tested enough? Are we not better off with an Orubebe who we can predict than a Ribadu who can never be predicted?

My brother, I have no kind words for Ribadu. He has massively disappointed me and others who believed in him. Haven said that, I think Ribadu remains a good, kind and benevolent man who will always be on the side of what is best for Nigeria and Nigerians. Ribadu's main shortcoming is that he is actually a good administrator yet a terrible politician incapable of understanding the nuances of Nigerian politics.

I doubt Buhari would be interested in working with Ribadu but I think the former EFCC boss would still excel in any role that correctly matches the right public position with his specific talents and limitations. Overall, I have no regret supporting Ribadu in the past even though I am disappointed with some of the political choices he made. It is to Ribadu's credit , and another indicator of his decency, that he refrained from the mudslinging and divisiveness virtually all PDP political aspirants engaged in merely for the sake of winning elections.

You harsh o.
Wait until Abati writes a book of how all his efforts in govt were truncated by dark forces and gets re-assimilated into the club of "progressives".
Or if he happens to transit to higher glory (not that I am wishing him that, I need to make that point clear), then you will hear eulogies that will make Christ Himself envious.

To Gbawe & all fellow progressives. Congrats on the generally beautiful Governorship & State HoA election results.

My joy knows no bounds at the moment. May the new dispensation be enjoyable to all of us.

Thanks my brother. I am happy beyond words at this time also. A new dawn begins. Nigeria will not become a paradise overnight but anything , for the better, can now happen under the first completely and bravely pro-people President Nigeria has had since our current democracy and republic began in 1999.

Just like Naijababe's love for Nuhu, I genuinely like him. I met him once from afar (at a burial) and there were a few things about him that touched me in a special way. Unfortunately, I will be unable to state them here for private reasons. He is the kind of northerner that I love. The type that makes nonsense of the stereotype that ethnic jingoists project. Mallam has broken my heart. For a fellow who is cynical about politicians, it takes a lot to do that.
On another note, I doubt he is a politician in the Nigerian sense.

For where?! Not going to happen, I don't think we are that forgiving. That is akin to saying kind words about Lamidi Adedibu

Oga mi, Nuhu is not a politician, I alluded to that in my first post. That was his undoing, I listened to a speech he gave at LSE in London and I have followed and loved him ever since.

No big deal if that happens; just as long he spends the rest of his miserable life away from public office. I will disband the Boy Scouts GLOBALLY rather than make him a troop leader of the boys scout.

You are right about the above. Ribadu's main shortcoming is that his eagerness to serve Nigeria often led him to throw caution and reputation to the wind to then make rash decisions/utterances that have now left his political career in tatters. Like you , I like Ribadu a lot also. In fact this is the reason I am silent on Ribadu these days. Despite his mistakes, I cannot join those now attacking and mocking him and would therefore prefer to say nothing at all either way.

I hope Buhari may find his service useful, because Ribadu never burnt his bridges and never embraced 'gutter politics' as other PDP leaders did gleefully, but the General has said he has no plans to appoint PDP decampees into his cabinet and I fear this includes Ribadu also. A waste of administrative talent yet I must personally admit, as much as I like and respect Mallam Ribadu, that his problems are entirely self-inflicted and indicative of the sort of naivete and errors of judgement a man of his standing should not be guilty of.

@ Gbawe, please make a case for Nuhu abeg! We all agree he is a terrible politician, his mistakes are not completely unforgivable. Nigeria, most especially Northern Nigeria needs him.

My dear lady, only Tinubu can make a case for Ribadu successfully at the moment. Tinubu, beyond politics, is genuinely very fond of Ribadu. It is therefore possible Tinubu may 'pull rank' for Ribadu effectively.
