The recent rivers state election and its politics in general is an exact replica of what was widely termed as "amala politics" back then in Ibadan where political thugs were fed and sponsored with state funds by politicians so as to keep hold of political power.

(Don't be deceived by the online presence of PDP paid posters and agents who have suddenly found themselves jobless due to GEJ's loss). Out of desperation they have now made it their new mission to spew thrash to whoever cares to listen that the sham that was ochestrated in rivers state was the wish of the electorates who were discouraged and prevented from turning out massively due to numerous cases of political malpractises, violence and murder.

The strategy is simple:

1. Bribe and Corner high ranking Security Agents and Chief Electoral Officers to do your party's bidding (Amaechi screamed at the top of his voice about this in particular, but no one seems to care since PDP is in control of Federal power). The IG responded favourably by transefering a neutral commissioner to the state but he was immediately re-instructed by the presidency to maintain status quo.

2. Intimidate and frustrate the liberal electorates so as to get a free hand in perpetrating their vices of electoral manipulation and theft (Numerous cases of murder of APC cheiftains and innocent victims).

3. Perpetuate massive electoral malpractises and rigging using their teeming supporters and political touts.

Rivers state and Akwa Ibom remains the only two states in the whole federation where "massive" reports of electoral malpractises with impunity were reported by unbiased international electoral observers. Please note the term "massive" before some bigot here calls them out to label them as "biased" and "bribed".

PDP RIVERS STATE has developed a huge fan base of rogues and touts over the years which are sponsored with federal resources. They are also given unrestricted access to arms and ammunitions.

PDP has consolidated to keep Rivers state by all means possible as a consolation price for loosing federal power and the fact that rivers state is the home state of the presidents wife made matters worse.
