For those that are used to Benin very well will understand how I almost met my waterloo
Some years back, I was with someone that was rushed to the hospital emergency ward (UBTH), so I was with her all night..
In that hospital you cant sit on a patients bed talk more of sleep. So I sat up for the better part of the night..
At about 5AM I had to leave her so I can get a nap and get set and resume work at 8AM.
I got a bike (then they were still working) from UBTH gate to GRA.. When I got on the bike the guy said he couldn't take airport road because of those police that mount the road in the mornings, that he would go through First, then sakponba, sapele road and etete GRA,... I said fine no issues.
When the Bike passed first road he entered one unending bush path, in my mind I said "hmm this is the day you have prayed against"
Too many thoughts crossed my mind.. Jump from the bike and run... Hit him so hard and jump so he cannot catch you... Just too many to remember.. Then I said the worst he can do is to rob me...
Eventually he stopped and said "give me your gold" I rushed and gave him, "Remove your sim and give me your phone" Fast I did.. "Give me your purse" I speedily did.. He collected all the money and left 200 for me.. In my mind I said " As you don thief finish make I go
Then he said 'Stop to dey try to look my face, you think say I be bike man? I be Libya deportee" In my mind who cares.. Lets get out of this place joor..
Him: Oya I wan do you"
Me: "You see say I just dey come from hospital, I get HIV na treatment I dey since yesterday"
Him: No Worry I get condom for here
Me: Knelt down "Oga I beg na.. Sorry for me"

Me: I just started screaming at the top of my voice, jumping, shouting ran into the bush and ran out.... My reaction took both of us unawares.

I would have told only my siblings....

I was 9 then.There was this my paternal male cousin leaving with us then.My Mum travelled.My Dad to work and my step mothers as well.This cousin was a grown up boy in secondary school.He was just fond of me.I can't even recall how I got to be alone with him in my Mum's room.He had already started some funny moves when suddenly,my kid Brother walked in.Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if my Brother didn't come in when he did.My Dad had to send the cousin back to his folks.Till date,whenenever I hear the word rape,it really disgust and annoys me.The said cousin later died of a AIDs a young Man.If any guy tries that with my daughters....Murder is the case.
