In what appears to be a government sponsored Drivers Union protest, all major roads in Ado-Ekiti were blocked by the protesters making smooth passage of vehicles within the metropolis very difficult. They are protesting the insistence by the 19Lawmakers to continue the impeachment proceedings. This is obviously fueled by the decision of the Federal High court,Abuja to allow the proceedings to go on. Meanwhile in preparation for the total locked down the state govt announced this morning that all workers(civil servants) should stay at home on an artificial holiday to "PRAY" for Fayose. |

The consitution must be remain supreme no matter whose ox is gored. If Fayose has to go for it to be so, so be it. It's part of the process for the deepening of our democracy. It will teach other upcoming governors not to breach our constitution as if it has no consequences. 2 Likes |

It is obvious that law makers are just not happy with fayose and not that fayose is bad. It's just about power tussle and nothing more. |

Ekiti people have sown the wind and are now reaping whirlwind. Agree with them that fayemi's policies were too elitist but how in this world did they ever allow their dislike for him make them put fayose on a pedestal. Civil service reforms, taxation and use of states funds for infrastructural development may hurt in the short term but the long term rewards are..... |
