I need advice on filling the Ds 160 form. My brothers I-20 lists school funds as source of funding.should he fill the school as his source of funding in the U.S. visa form also? Thank you all for the great job you are doing here. . |

durobraham:Ok good. He can go ahead and do so and also he needs his own Statement of Account for visa interview to prove to the CO he has other means of funds, just in case, the Funding or Scholarship diminishes. Anyone can be his sponsor of course, for visa. Wishing him the best of luck! |

Pls my I-20,they listed mandatory health insurance as $3500 per year,is it compulsory to buy from sch or can i get cheap option from third party? Need advice from de gurus,since am preparing all my expenses for fall |

pcbo:It depends actually. Ask your institution if they do accept or have other options. Health insurance is absolutely important. |

jakeharris:That is one way they checkmate you're paying your insurance. You don't know how much hospitals charge here. But your insurance fee is just too much, well it also depends on your age. I pay 357 per semester. |

worry357:Quite aware of that, but when it comes to International Students, they have a stipulated amount, though it varies with schools and it covers a lot, hence the high fee. A friend got pregnant and her insurance covers the hospital bills. |
