Hello mums, Thank you for the responses. I really appreciate all the education and information. I will also like to find out if anyone has ever used any hospital in Minnesota and what the person's experience was. I actually have family there and I am considering the option. I will really appreciate any info on the hospital and the full costs. Thanks again. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello house, I just received a letter of appointment from Dr. Glenn Morgan for August but the letter is not his signatory, rather one Terry of a guy, I guess in his office. Has any one used Dr. Morgan's letter before for interview with Terry as a signatory? Would it pose a problem knowing that it wasn't the Dr. that actually signed it? Also, between Dr. Morgan and Dr. Fagbohun letters, which one is best advisable to use for the interview? Pls help!!! 1 Like |

please I need an urgent reply on this if anyone can help out. I was at the US embassy last week and I was given an admin letter to come back with my corresponce with the doctor and a birth plan. I've gotten the corresponce but I feel its not detailed enough. I got a reminder from the doctor about my upcoming appointment and I also replied. Is that enough to take back to the embassy? Also, I'd like to know what a birth plan constitutes. I'm planning on using MIHS. |

sucre26: I will also advice you ,that in addition to the appointment remindal letter you got,you should also go to MIHS website and print out their self pay package plan.,and also take it with you. With regards to a birth plan,i think Phema did justice to that on the old thread 2 Likes |

Chikacokpala:Congrats to you and baby!. Please help us ask people around for name and location of affordable accommodation with kitchen/kitchenette (between $700 - $1200 per month) even if it's one hour from the hospital! Most very cheap hotels are not usually online. Thanks and sorry for the trouble at this time but I really need this info. I don browse taya. |

leleri01: Aaawww. Congrats dear. Thank God for safe delivery. You may or may not inform the embassy before travelling. Your visa is good for visiting. You should start a thread on Giving birth in France though. Just kidding. 1 Like |

sucre26: Did you already state you will be going to Phoenix /MIHS? If not, I will sincerely not advise anyone to use MIHS for visa interview purposes. Their correspondence is not so detailed. |

dittobaby: Check www.airbnb.com. Better yet, download the app and you can use the map to search for accommodation closest to hospital California is expensive though. |

segbas:So you can get Doctors appointment too now at MIHS? I thought it was appointment with financials only? Kindly educate me please. Should I send them an email to book an appointment with a Doctor? |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by dere5: 9:46pm On Apr 19, 2015 |
hadetola:I think you are ok with that,i dont think its compulsory for the doctor to sign the letter.all they need to do if they are in doubt about the authenticity of the letter is email or call them to confirm that the letter originated from them 1 Like |

Hi my advice is go with whatever correspondence you have, a print out of the maternity package agreement, a breakdown of intended expenses related to child birth and a detailed breakdown of how you would want your actual delivery to be conducted. There are samples of such birth plans online.. All the best. |

Phema: Thanks everyone for the reply. I already stated at the embassy that I'll be using MIHS so I don't think I can change it anymore. However, I got In touch with El Paso and they replied immediately to my questions. Im thinking of taking my correspondence with them to the embassy as a backup just in case. What do you think? |

sucre26: hi, I was told the same thing at the embassy and i asked the same question at one point. I downloaded one "birth plan" thing from baby center which was rejected by the VO. I later showed her the doctors appointment and hospital bill (unpaid though) alongside my bank statement and hubbys as well. Good news is that we got the visa. I really don't know what the birth plan thingy is till date. My advise is just pray and go with what you can get "as soon as possible". Don't delay. |
