The “current hypothesis is cause of the event is herbicides (weed killer ) . Tests done so far are negative for viral and bacterial infection,” ,” WHO spokesman, Gregory Hartl said as seen in the tweets above . So we can conclude for now that the cause of the strange disease is herbicides (weed killer ). In a related development , the Ondo State Government have said that the strange disease that has killed some people since its outbreak on April 15, is not contagious. The assurance was made by Dr Dayo Adeyanju, the Commissioner for Health in the state, today April 19 at a news conference in Akure. The disease was neither epidemic nor contagious as revealed from findings from post-mortem carried out on the victims and other laboratory tests . According to the commissioner, preliminary report shows that ethanol poison is found in the systems of all the victims. “Our investigations revealed that the victims, who are commercial motorcyclists, gathered at some local joints to take alcoholic substance mixed with roots and some other local herbs on the eve of the outbreak of the disease.I can assure you that the disease is in no way contagious. The fact that none of the caregivers has contracted the disease has greatly underscored this point. “Therefore, the fear of spread does not arise and should be discouraged. We strongly suspect ethanol poison and in view of this, we have ordered for another toxicology test for surviving victims,” Adeyanju said. Symptoms of this strange disease include headache, weight loss, blurred vision and loss of consciousness, victims die within a day of falling ill in the town of Ode-Irele, in Ondo State. source:http://www.kingebuka.com/2015/04/who-finally-reveals-likely-cause-of.html?m=1 1 Share

That's some relief. How did the people come in contact with so much herbicides to kill them in a few days? |

GboyegaD: If they got it from ethanol(strong drinks) ingestion then its most likely from locally brewed gin made using over-ripe plantains, yams and/or potatoes which the affected herbicide was used during planting. I knew it was a matter of time before science came up with the answer. Sadly the answer came too slow, only allowing our african brothers disgrace us completely - appeasing non-existent beings in the name of religion. |
