the political ingenuity of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu which resulted in the victory of the party at the recently concluded general elections, the Royal Ambassador to the Alaafin of Oyo, Aare Ayandotun Ayanlakin has said he (Tinubu) had attained towering political heights similar to that of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

He insisted that with the enviable pedigree of Tinubu, there is no living Yoruba leader today that can match his record.

Aare Ayanlakin said this yesterday while addressing newsmen in Ibadan.

He further stated that just like his prediction a year ago that Governor Abiola Ajimobi would win the election, he said that the governor would become the Vice-President of the country sooner or later.

He said, “I agree that there is a saying that the people of Oyo State don’t serve one governor twice. But the saying arose because those who had been governing Oyo State, especially during the current republic, until Ajimobi came on board, had not been serving the people.

“They have been serving themselves rather than serving the people. The reverse is the case with Ajimobi. He has been serving the people and that is why the people of Oyo State gathered together and gave him a second term.”

Ayanlakin said, “Since Ajimobi assumed office, the masses have witnessed tremendous change and that is why Ajimobi broke the age-long second term jinx because he is an outstanding governor, who has made land mark achievements and the electorate will vote for him on that basis.

“He has transformed almost all sectors. He has built roads, transformed the health sector, turned around education and agriculture, created a peaceful and conducive atmosphere and improved the welfare package of workers.”

Have you come of age in 2003 when PDP under Obasanjo tricked,rigged and bulldozed his way into the SW and almost all the States in the SE where people affirmed that APGA won most elections but for the rigging machinery of the PDP whereby figures were falsified

It was only Tinubu who warned the then AD Governors about adopting Obasanjo as Presidential candidate just like APGA is foolishly doing now

The AD Governors(apart from Tinubu) claimed SW solidarity with Obasanjo and the need not to disgrace him hence asked people in their states to vote OBJ for President and them as Governor a situation which got the electorates confused........thereby allowing PDP to rig unconscionably

It was Tinubu who kept drumming it to Lagosians then that AD had no Presidential candidate and should not make the mistake of voting for PDP......

Having won his re-election,he took it upon himself to singularly finance the resurgence and sponsor of candidates in several states since most politician then were battle weary and didnt want to play in the opposition as most of them never believed a ruling party could ever be defeated in Nigeria but for Tinubu's doggedness and vision

PDP penetrated and distabilised all the opposition parties by planting moles amongst them thereby making them to become factionalised.....

That was what led to the formation of AC.......and later rechristened ACN when some other politicians like Oshiomhole,Ngige,Ikimi,Atiku,Lawan Gwadabe,etc from across the Niger join to make it a National party
