Saw dis on Linda Ikeji and it brought back memories of my childhood. If u were born in the 80's or before, you will surely remember this famous Indian Bollywood movie YEH VADA RAHA a.k.a SUNITA & VICKRAM. I watched the movie in 1990 and it was a hit in Nigeria back then!!! Phew!!! How time flies!!!!!


Yeh Vaada Raha - (The Promise) is arguably one
of the most popular Indian films ever made - at
least it was very popular in Nigeria. If you didn't
watch it, then you weren't born in the 80's. The
main protagonists in the classic Hindi film
released in 1982 were Sunita and Vikram,
pictured left from a scene from the movie. That's
the actors together recently on the right. Rishi
Kapoor is now 62 years old and Poonam Dhillon
is 53 years old. And they are still actively acting.
Good to see them again!

Yeah I'm a great buff of bollywood. But i'm wondering if there was a remake of the movie in the late 80's cos i watched a bollywood flick in 1990 with the same title. Funny cos i "broke bounds" i.e snuck outta school, military school for that matter (AFMS) to go to kwararafa cinema in Jos.

Wow they still look good, though Vikram hs gained more weight. *Sunita na ebe akwa mama ya na asi ya ndo......* that's how we translated their song in my native language those days grin

I saw this movie on VHR back then. Was prolly 2 or 3. I loved all the songs on this movie. Had to download all again. Oh God!
