If the visit was at our initiative or our president was being invited to attend some occasion of national significance to Egypt like their independence or something else it would be quite ok. In my eyes this invitation is very arrogant and rude and as such should be ignored.

Obama visited Ghana on his own accord, in fact he was on a tour of selected African countries when he did so, HE WAS NOT SUMMONED BY MAHAMA TO VISIT HIS COUNTRY, it's a bit condescending to sit in Cairo and demand that Nigeria's President elect should visit him. What stops him from paying a courtesy visit to Nigeria and congratulate both Buhari and Jonathan while using that opportunity to invite the former for discussion in Egypt. That is how diplomacy between two countries of same category works, period.

Ghana pleaded, requested and celebrated Obama's visit when it eventually came after several visit of the Ghanian President to the white house and that visit was a reward by US for Ghana's democracy!

Buhari will not do any diplomatic visit to any country until after his inauguration and when he does it will be decided purely by the interest of Nigeria.
