Radoillo:Bro don't mind that guy, he doesn't know what he is saying. Maybe he thinks that their undergraduate programme is like their PG programme. That was what most of us thought when we started in 2011 and till date we are still wasting our lives there. I repeat Unizik has the worst PG programme in Nigeria. Very substandard and disorganized. Doing my M.Sc. there is the worst mistake I've made in my life. 1 Like |

If U are not academically sound, pls don't go close to UNILAG gate let alone seeking admission for PG programme. Someone said he abandoned the programme, yes! That can be purely attributed to the level of his/her intelligence. I did Msc Programme in Economics there and my convocation comes up on thursday next week. You need extra doggedness and robust academic prowess to pull through. I would have graduated with first class in my Bachelors, if i had put similar effort during my undergraduate days. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Ebenezer5: Have you a personal experience about Unizik PG? Unizik has the worst PG programme in Nigeria! I will advise you never to consider the school for your PG if you are nursing the ambition. Don't be deceived into thinking that their PG programme is fast as their undergraduate programme. UNN is 100% faster and better! I'm telling you this with a real experience of the two schools 1 Like |

Emyben:Please let us stop misleading people with wrong information. Unizik is not a good place for PG programme. If some of us listened to people we wouldn't be doing an M.Sc. (that suppose to last for 18months) for almost 48 months! 2011 till date. And don't even think that it is our fault or maybe because we are dull students, it is the same problem across board. Though I know you are using their undergraduate programme to judge their PG programme, thinking that they will be the same in terms of rapid academic programme! I'm talking from a real bitter personal experience! 2 Likes |

saintandsinnerz: No one is misleading anybody bro. Ur department needs to sort out its problem and then catch up with others. Like i said earlier, it takes one barely 16 or 17 months to bag his Masters in my department. |
Re: Nigerian Universities With The Fastest Masters Degree Programmes by saintandsinnerz: 6:02pm On Apr 23, 2015 |
Emyben:This is a first! I'm from Faculty of management but I've personal friends from Art, social sciences and Engineering and the story is the same. We all started I'm 2011 but none of us has graduated. The only person that started with us that has graduated was from philosophy dept. He finished I'm record time! So generally PG programme in unizik is not organized and not fast save for the Architecture u just mentioned |

My dear do not consider UNIZIK if u want to do ur Masters in Electronic and computer Engineering. I am a victim there my Reg is 2011 and we are still doing our defence(internal). For Master in the department u will do three(3) internal defence(Ist, 2nd and 3rd) , one faculty defence and an external defence. Each of the internal defence u pay ten thousand naira for it. And they panel may told u to come back and re-defence (repeat) the defence(Note this is very common u will see someone repeating 1st , 2nd or 3rd defence many times). The department fix defence at most 2 times in one year. They have backlog of people( like 2010, 2011,2012,2013,2014 sets). For 2010 set only 8 has graduated, for 2011 set only one person(he finish last Dec) . 2012 and all other sets above have not even finish course work. When u are through with department u will wait for at least 4-6 months for them to fix ur faculty defence( u may also be told to repeat faculty defence it very common ). Then u will have to also wait for ur external defence. The PG in department of electronic and computer engineering will just waste 3 - 4 year or more of ur life. Many people realize if after their course work and quit. |

Its unbelievable that this issue of frustration in masters programme is not a malady peculiar to only my school futo but an issue that runs across board through our citadel of learning all over. I am done with my course work, finished thesis but to defend me is an issue. Anyway thank God for my job |

[quote author=literarymathy post=33024225] University of Ilorin: University of Ilorin has made a name for itself as the only federal university in Nigeria whose academic calender has not been broken/altered in over 7years. This has made the school a go-to place for postgraduate studies in Nigeria. Getting admitted for a masters in UNILORIN is very competitive, because of its reputation. Depending on other factors like you thesis supervisor e.t.c, you should obtain you masters degree from UNILORIN in about a year. Stop deceiving people. You can't obtain a master degree in a year in unilorin. |
