The northerners are known for their doggedness and loyalty, this has been working for them in leading Nigeria.
Trust me, i don't see a Yoruba President soon, atleast not in 2019, except there's a Conspiracy led by Tinubu's ACN caucus of APC to ''stab Buhari on the back".
Yorubas are 'cursed' to be naturally divided (Go check the Yoruba ancient history) except in exceptional cases.
Untill, there's a constitutional amendment to abolish ethnic rotations in the choice of our leaders, the Presidency will always be around the Hausas/Fulanis's ethnic origin.

D question u should be askin iz, "will there be PDP after May 29th or b4 2017?
grin
all the talk about PDP not being able to do opposition will vamoose from 29/5/2015. PDP will not only provide the needed opposition but, do it with panache given d fact that they are knowledgeable about d happenings at the centre! The opposition will be giving out alternatives without insulting the president! Not the lie and propaganda of APC! PDP will redefine opposition!!!! Can't wait for 2019 APC had to emerge from merger to have 14 states PDP already has that with 46senators and over 120 reps. That is more than enuff for viable opposition! U guys wish PDP away out of fear!!

This is a politically dümb move that will fail.

PDP's best move is to capitalize on the hunger of the southwest to produce a president, choosing a Fulani/Hausa will still not help them garner the votes from the south west, not even with a vice presidential aspirant from the south west.

And how come he thinks they still have the SE in the bag? With a would be Fulani aspirant?

The SE will drift back to APGA.
then they will fail woefully...PDP Will simply lose SS/SE

A member, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan will not run for the presidency in 2019.

He explained that the party would shop for a strong Hausa/Fulani candidate to run against the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, in 2019.

Babatope, who is also a member of the party’s elders’ caucus, spoke with our correspondent on Victoria Island, on Wednesday.

He described the outgoing President as a leader, who had done his best in uplifting the nation’s democracy, adding that Nigeria would forever remember Jonathan as a committed leader who kept the nation as one despite several challenges.

He said he was sure that the President would not seek to contest the 2019 presidential election although “the people of the South-South have the right to present a candidate for the election, I’m sure the President will not contest; He will lead us to against the All Progressives Congress.”

He said, “The President has set himself apart as a great Nigerian leader, who is committed to seeing Nigeria blossom into a great democracy. He has laid a solid foundation for the nation’s democracy and he would forever be remembered.”

“The President will not contest the 2019 presidential election. The PDP will look for a strong Hausa/Fulani presidential candidate to contest against Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

“We have a strong presence in the South-South, South-East and we have two governors in the South-West. We are going to slug it out together in the North in 2019. We are going to flush out the APC in 2019 because we are going to correct our mistakes and take back the central government.”

The former Minister of Transport said PDP’s National Executive Council, the BoT and Elders’ Caucus would meet soon in Abuja to assess the outcome of the general elections.

He said, “We are going to restructure our party. The National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, will convene a meeting in two weeks’ time when we will objectively discuss the last elections.

“Apart from the grand conspiracy against our party by the powers that be in the elections, we are going to tackle the problem of imposition, which was a great area of mistake on our side. Crises were recorded across the states over imposition. We are going to guard against this. The APC will, naturally, make its own mistakes and we will capitalise on these.

“It is given in politics that mistakes would occur among the ruling party. We will all see when this begins to happen. We are watching and waiting.”

With a SE VP they won't.

Both zones are hungry for these positions.

Now the SS owes the SE one, they will have no other choice.

Give it to PDP in 2019? U guyz are already at the end of d list! Buhari will get a comeback in 2019 cos I am almost sure he won't fail us. By 2023 we might decide to give it to APGA, after that one we will give it to KOWA and den HOPE in 2039. Later we will then give it to SDP.... in short PDP will only get a comeback in year 2199 so make una go sleep, this national cake na turn by turn. 16 years no do una? Awon olojukokoro angry

First: To disagree is the beauty of democracy.
Second: Anti- ? I bet you don't even know the meaning of 'anti' the word usually used when someone is actively, directly or indirectly denying the rights of a group of people, and have not done that and never will. I only gave you the facts about ancestral political dilema of the Yorubas.
Ofcourse am not God,and if you really want to bring God into this, you should have asked me how we could seek God's face for total emancipation of the Yoruba race. Just so you know, i am a typical Yoruba man.

Isn't it an eye opener that PDP speaks of everything concerning how to get back power without mentioning one positive agenda they have for the Nigerian populace they plan to lead??

I have just one question for PDP.
"Has PDP ever defeated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu?"

The moment you allowed Tinubu to capture the Central was the moment you got Jagabanned...banned forever

Tinubu as a master chess player will do all within his power to make sure APC wows the populace. So much so that we will always hate Tinubu..but we wont be able to vote against him. Ask lagosians..they will tell you.
pls my dear refresh my memory what happened in ekiti state in 2014 elections.............. oh i remember pdp defeated tinubu n apc there.tinubu is only powerful in Lagos n Some parts of sw.even those powers of his were dealt à serious blow in dis last elections.
