Suddenly, Boko Haram Gone? -Attorney Patryk Utulu* Ahem, yes, almost overnight, Nigeria's Boko Haram terrorists seem to have disappeared. Our home grown lunatics seem to have found some inner peace and love of life, all without even the pretense of making any political, religious or economic demands. So strange, isn't it? A miracle? For years they rained mayhem, murder and madness upon Nigerians and then, within a month, "poooof" vanished. Brings to mind William Shakespeare's Macbeth, "a tale told by a "tool", full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Or was there more than "nothing" to it? Some say Boko Haram have accomplished their political purpose and are no longer needed for timid intimidatory tactic and electoral ethnic cleansing. A few others believe that they were used strategically to scare the U.S./Europe into believing that Nigeria -- and possibly all of West Africa -- was turning into a new Middle East, thereby forcing the Western world to seek a new pseudo military messiah. Or as some have asked, was Boko Haram used to terrorize our nation merely to boost the electoral propaganda of "total insecurity" in Nigeria? I don't know what you think, and honestly, I don't think it matters now. However, as a Nigerian you must ask that irrepressible Little Patriot in you: Is it really so immaterial and/or unworthy of reflection that our terrorists seem to have just magically found peace and vanished? Does every end justify every means? Till the fire next time!! ***** Attorney Patryk A. one of the reasons GEJ wont go to jail is the fact that he provided cover for buhari by fighting BH before handover... its politics.... |

shakazuldadon:Personally I don't like commenting on topics like this. If you believe that Jonathan or any of his ministers is going to jail then you need to have your head examined. You know what witch hunting can cause? Maybe you don't know this but if Wine checks very well he'll see reasons to prosecute Amaechi. If GEJ wanted to do the same to OBI he would have. Same with every state whether POP or APC. Same all over the world. Forget it it won't happen. Best GOD can do is to curb corruption in his own tenure. |

It was not Buhari, it was the second republic governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Lawal Kaita (a PDP chieftain). He said the North would make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan if he emerged winner of the presidential election. Not long after that, Atiku himself followed up with a statement that was unbecoming of a man of his status. “He who makes peaceful change impossible makes violent change inevitable,” he was reported as saying. Please get the facts right! jcross19: |
