[quote author=afolag post=33037477]1. where are we going to get the money to buy this train. 2. how will it improve the economy 3. Like how many jobs will this create 4. We need the breakdown of the contract process and when nigeria is expected to gain the money back from the investment. DESPITE been team GMB, positive criticism will go along way to help restore confidence in the people. Godbless nigeria. [the movement of people and goods is of utmost important to every economy, its easier to transport both perishable and non perishable goods, it saves time and will reduce the prices of goods. I just pray and hope this will materialize] |

APC and gimmickry... siemese twins... They brought a prototype modern train to someone whose preferred means of transportation is Camel? Check out their 'achievements' on 'railway revolution' in Nigeria. It started in the '80s. The last time Buhari had anything to do with Nigeria's rail system, he cancelled Jakande's light-rail project in Lagos and foolishly paid millions of Nigeria's scarce foreign exchange as compensation for the cancelation. The last time the Chinese had something to do with Nigerian rail system, they pocketed millions of dollars without even putting any single iron-bar on the ground anywhere. The last time an APC government in Lagos had anything to do with rail, it embarked on a seeming 'white elephant' blue-line, red-line rail project with current indebtedness standing at over $1b and without a known completion date. The ever talkative 'performing' governor has simply stopped talking about that 'dream'. Oh, recall they brought some real Tokunbo coaches from Canada. The last time the APC government in Rivers State talked about rail, it was on an abandoned multi billion naira waste on a 'political' monorail which full capacity is a mere 36 passengers (assuming it was even completed). 12 Likes 3 Shares |
