Well said

Bro, I've not been to the US and believe me, I know all these you are saying. Not new really. I was just surprised when most people find it difficult to believe the Ghanaian guy. Was just not cool with your sarcastic tone in my simple reply to you @nairaland visa offer or whatever. Anyway I've been on this forum since 2011 or thereabout and I have enjoyed a lot from everyone including you. Just be simple in your reply to people and tag no one any name they don't bear. Thank God I've shared my own success story here today as well. And I must appreciate you and other great guys especially @imperioux...

I was denied visa yesterday in abj consulate on the grounds of not having strong tie with home country. can i apply again by next week or next two weeks. my program resumes on May 22. If yes, pls how do i g about it?

Yes you can apply and if possible defer till fall so that you can go for the interview around June/July because fall resumption starts from August

klarke:

Thanks, i have thought about that too. someone told me that i can go for express booking if i want to meet up with the May 22 date.

Dont let anyone deceive you by ripping your money and saying (s)he can get you express booking, since you are denied you cant get express booking because that's the rule although luck might be on your side grin grin grin

You can try lagos if you are still willing to go for summer since first available appointment is Tuesday April 28, 2015

you filled in your DS160 you want to be interviewed in Lagos and when you booked appointment you chose Abuja for your interview. Can you read youself, I really don't know why it's so difficult to follow simple instruction, you had better cancel the appointment and fill another DS160 and chose the right place you want to do your interview. The venue in your DS160 should tally with your interview appointment venue.

What you need are:
A.International Passport
B. 2 (2cm/2cm) passport (I guess)
1. You I-20
2. DS160 confirmation page
3. Appointment confirmation page
4. Your sevis fee receipt
5. Your bank statement(s)
6. Your degree results/ waec result/ standardized test results.
7. Any other document you feel can enhance or boost your chance.

You will have to wait for your I-20 to arrive cos you need the sevis code to pay.

You are good to go bro.
It does appear like that, most times middle name really doesn't count, it's your family name (surname) and your first name that matter. Even in school, whenever I wanna clarify issues it's usually my DOB, surname and first name, they have made my middle name so useless cheesy. God will favour you on your interview day. Confidence should be your shirt and trousers on that day, be fashionable with it. Best of luck

make God shower his blessings on you three times a everyday. remain blessed and thanks.

Good morning my people, please what is your suggestion/what you think when a Vo says this"Your application doesn't qualify you a student's visa" and hand's over the white form 214(b),Which states you can reaply.

means to have not proved beyond merit that you deserve to be issued a visa as at that time. You are free to reapply when circumstance changes or you feel you have a better reason

It means you've not proved Urself worthy of the Visa either due to your reasons or you lack strong home times.
