I believe this is the season to avenge on all those who have hurt us for the past 5 years!
My biggest regret of this season is that we did not meet Chelsea

We have a very strong team!

Most of you cules are talking smack. Are you guys really watching these games?

Bayern go beat us oh. I don't trust Enrique. His secret desire has been to switch to 4-2-3-1 with double pivot. Every time he has tried it, the result has been horrible. The only area where he has done well in my view is managing player fitness. Our guys have relatively come to the business end

We have been mostly better due to our fearsome attack, which can easily be neutralized by cutting off supply, as well as e. We don't have the players to control the middle of the park. Check out the last Clasico and the game against Valencia. We won both games, but the slimmest margins of errors, coupled with poor luck on the part of opposition.

Yeah, we won, but one thing was clear to me from both games: against really tough opposition, Lucho doesn't prepare matches very well. He comes with a pre-conceived idea of how he wants to play, not based on how the opponent will play, and what the opponent's strengths are. Playing 4-2-3-1 against Valencia was a big mistake. A highly mobile, aggressive, and physical side that will press high up the pitch against our players, and will likely win 90% of 1v1 balls. We were very lucky to survive the first half without conceding at least 2 goals. He immediately corrected this in the second half by getting rid of Adriano (worst player on the pitch who could simply not cope with the pace of Sevilla players on the flank), moved Mathieu to the left, Mascherano to central, and Rakitic in at midfield, and the game evened out much better.

Pep knows the team very well, and he's someone that can prepare a game much better than Enrique. He also has aggressive ball players, better ball players than we do. All he has to do is put us under pressure, and force errors. Our team doesn't have the pace, the pressing intensity is not the same as it used to be, our play is more vertical now, and we don't have as many defensive-minded forwards or midfielders as Bayern does.

Yeah... We have a very strong team capable of eliminating anyone. It's just that we (and the media) often blow our weaknesses way out of proportion. Whereas, in most cases, our rivals suffer such weaknesses even more than us. But nobody dey complain about them.

Imagine, no one is saying how Lucho has really worked on set pieces on both ends of the pitch. Just wait and see the day we will concede from a set piece one more, then all the media and haterz alike would take no time to pounce on us and make a mountain of it.

I could remember what I said after the Sociedad game. I said, it's offical that we were gonna end the season without a trophy. Fast forward some months later, I believe we have everything it takes to win the treble, and ultimately the sextuple. Now, we may not end up winning the treble and so on, but things have changed that one cannot but hope for every trophy out there with the kinda performances the team is putting out week-in-week-out.

If any team is capable of taking off any of the others, then it's US.

Let me even ask you... Do you watch Bayern games? You are saying all the above because you watch our matches week-in-week-out. Bruv gbagbé, we go beat Bayern well. If Sharktar, Porto or even Man City dey follow Bayerb drag, how e be say na Barça no go beat them hands-down?

Prior to playing Man City at The Etihad stadium, we lost to Malaga right? While City won their match and were oozing confidence. Kompany even went as far as saying, we wouldn't be able to play Stoke City blah blah blah... Wetin come happen?

Truth be told, you guys are just underrating this Barça team. That's all! How many big matches have we lost this season? PSG-Madrid right? We played PSG 4 good times and won 3 of them. Played Atletico 3 good times and won all. Played City twice, and you know what the outcome was. Who else...? And you still dey under-rate the team? I give up!

Sincerely, I want Barca to make it to the finals @ all cost. In order to make this happen
with the stiff closeness in Points btwn Madead and Barca, I would prefer a Juve to either Bayern or Madrid.

As we all know, Barca is a Final winning team. Whoever matches us btwn Madead and Bayern would be history
on that day.

Give every opponent you meet the respect they deserve.. write anyone off at your own peril..

I would have preferred Juventus having watched all the 3 opponents play in recent times..

in fact, I would have preferred either Juve or R.Madrid.

All in all, I know we are going in for the win, but a lesser threat is better off.

mouth making is for juvenile.

I agree with Ajanlekoko. Bayern look more dangerous this year than they did in Pep's first season. Sure they have their defensive lapses which Barca can exploit, but they take their chances better than any other team in world football at the moment and that should give us some worry or concerns.

We have played so well in most of our recent games. But we have conceded easy chances that some teams did not put to bed. If we also consider that direct teams seem to worry us alot then we should be praying for a Juventus. The Sevilla game easily comes to mind and Bayern are Miles better than Sevilla. So Imagine a situation if we play just 2-0 against them at Nou Camp, and have to return to the Allianz arena for the second leg. If they nick in 2 early goals (and they can without playing fancifully) I fear that team confidence will drop and we could suffer more. I don't want a rehash of what happened at the Santiago earlier on in the season. So let us be safe and pray for Juventus. In a final, we can slug it out with anyone.

I think the trio of bayern, madrid and barca have equal Chances of winning the championship. With juve slightly lower. But if juve have their entire squad fit, then this could be the most competitive semi finals ever.

Barca has won the UCL(in its current format, since 1992) more times than Mad-rid. Mad-rid thrived in those years when it was European winners cup, and with less participating teams. Be informed bro!

Nobody is underestimating Barca. On the otherhand you are the one underestimating other teams. If we are to compare our head to head against Real Madrid this season we lost 4-3. Yet the average blaugaruna like you will tell you they expect to beat Madrid over 2 legs in a UCL semi final draw.

Ok let us look at Porto and Shaktar the supposed easy opponents that Bayern faced. Surely we would have qualified over both teams, but would we have put 7 goals or 6 goals past each team at the nou camp? The answer is No (and not because we don't have the talent to, but because we have missed a lot of chances in many games- which Bayern haven't).

Remember that Bayern went to Rome and put 7 past the Italians as well. Would Barca have done that this year? No. For the same reason as above. So imagine a situation where we gift Bayern the odd 5 chances in any game both home and away. The odds say they would take 2 or 3 of them and we would take only 1 or 2 of ours (even if we outplay them).

Please be objective. We want Juve because they do not create as many chances especially in the UCL. And their comparative lack of experience will work in our favor.

Having spent more time reading through all the posts here about our likely draw, I must say everyone has a nice point to drive home. While some want us avoid Bayern because of their strength, others, because of their strong feelings for Pep. Bayern are very good no doubt, but to think they can get 6-7 goals against us as the likes of Porto is so funny. They are aware of our attacking threat and as such would never leave their back unguarded. It would be a keenly contested match and I don't see bayern going past us this time around. Neymar is getting back his form. Suarez is scoring, Messi is performing wonders. The midfield will even out and we have a somewhat stable defence. So I don't see them treating us like Porto et all. We are Barca and I am sure they too wouldn't wanna meet us. I'll prefer Madrid any day but I certainly don't have any fear over Bayern.

Nobody is underestimating any team here, instead you guys are the ones trying to underestimate barcelona! We are only saying that Barça can beat any team left in the semi final!

Like seriously? are you going to use a match that happened last year to judge form? do you even watch barca games? which barca fan does not know that our good form started this year?
If we don't expect to beat them, should we expect them to beat us? undecided

let us look at Porto and Shaktar the supposed easy opponents that Bayern faced. What is this saying? Which team doesn't miss chances? Does 7-0, 6-1 scoreline show that they don't miss chances? what then happened in the 1st leg of both games?
Okay, both bayern and barca have met Man city this season - bayern in group stage, barca in the more tougher Round of 16...... yet barca won the both legs with higher margin (3-1) compared to bayern (3-3)
Have you even considered the fact that Bayern defense can be so porous and that Barça defense is also now very good at soaking in pressure?

Please be objective. We want Juve because they do not create as many chances especially in the UCL. And their comparative lack of experience will work in our favor.

You also need to be very objective and stop been pessimistic!
