Junior workers everywhere look forward to the retirement of seniors so they fill in the gaps.

Its a normal thing as they can't work forever.

Happy retirement to them.

Why doesn't GEJ hand over 1st May 2015, why is he still retiring Generals, is this the actions of a man about to step down in a few weeks?

Ignorance is bliss. It gives you the pleasure of expression which is much easier than the burden of thought. Please read to gain knowledge. The wider the safer.

It's difficult to place the rationale behind this massive. My theory would be that it is a fallout of the meeting btw GMB n GEJ recently.

Apparently, the top brass of the military was always bound to be sacked by GMB for their alleged partisanship during the certificate saga. GMB has probably negotiated with GEJ for him to wield the hammer instead, so the General won't appear vindictive if he is to do it.

The armed forces is not a part neither is it interested in your partisan politics. Its appointments, promotions and retirements are according to its traditions, laws and programmes. It is a stronger institution than politics and democracy so it is unreasonable to imagine it aligns itself to them.

Their retirement will nt save any of them frm being send to jail if found guilty of corruption, looting, conspiracy or sabotage. GMB is hear to clean all sectors which has been mess-up by past administrations.

some ppl are jst so funny. It seems whateva GEJ does gives them HBP. Had it been d man folded his hands after his defeat and decided nt to work till he hands over you will all call for his head. When he tried handing over on may 28 many ppl said nigeria cnt stay without a president for 12hrs yet when he exercises his power sme ppl here will still look for n find a way to criticise him. Tufiakwa. You must nt comment. Some become senseless @ the mention of GEJ

the only intelligent post so far, the way ppl says buhari this and that, i hope it doesn't enter his head and land us in a coup or something worse. he won't go to sampisa to fight and he has over criticized the fighting men. this his behavior cost him his tenure as a military head of state. if Nigeria ends as Egypt, it won't be funny o

As military generals, they probably have attained the 35 years of service for retirement. They were not sacked.

Indeed! President GEJ is a man with love for His country. He wants to create a smooth ground For the new administration to ride on by minimising potential Threats.

Now, that's a leader with class. I pray the scale of hate fall from the eyes of those who senselessly heave insult on you sir. May God forgive their ignorance and pardon them of the offence of disobedience to one in authority.

GEJ this, GEJ that. did any of you who is shouting that GEJ has sacked them ever consider that they've attained the mandated age for retirement or they've attained the 35 year of service. una go just dey talk trash. GEJ has no power to sack or promote any soldier. and for those block heads that will say that he appointed the defence chiefs, being a defence chief isn't a rank, its an appointment.

I swear you get brain. If they retire now they get their full pension and benefits , escort Etc. But If GMB sack them they leave with nothing. GMB would hv sacked all of them because of the roll the played in the Election.

I think they pleaded with the outgoing president to retire them for fear of what we befall them.
My obsevations;
1. Certificate saga n election berayal didn't work.
2. Excess looting
3.BH sabotage
4. Fear of eternal stay in kirikiri.

All this will not save their asses.
