no difference btw JW and other churches just more strict abt the new world just like deeper life they see no reason to celebrate festivals or events that were not practiced in the bible like birthdays, valentine, christmas etc unlike protestants, Catholics, Anglican etc not everyone takes the holy communion during Easter only the 110,000 leaders who are meant to represent the new paradise in heaven after the second coming of christ I never understood that part of the bible until I went to their church they have a more comfortable, nicer and realistic view of rapture JW believe you wont go to hell, if yr a sinner when Jesus comes u still have another chance, if you accept him as yr saviour unlike protestants who say, if yr a sinner, you will just go to hell, Gbam if u want to go to heaven, u have to go thru some torture if the heaven have to accept you again like other churches say 1 Like |

onila:its in Edo state, JWs call it Bethel. Its like a JW Mecca, very lovely place, neat, beautiful and serene, or at least that's how pple described it to me. You need a JW member to accompany you if you want to visit. They'll have to act as your tourguide, you can't just walk in on your own. |

onila: Am trying to understand you here sir, do you mean the selection process is scriptural? they have a more comfortable, nicer and realistic view of rapture Forgive me for going on a sharp note sir! But predicting a impending doom on over 40 times and on 4 occasions being specific about the date: (1914, 1975, 1925, 1926). And a fiery protestant threatening hell to defaulters without drawing any line in the sand, which is more realistic? unlike protestants who say, if yr a sinner, you will just go to hell, Gbam Have you considered the possibility that you might be making that up? |

paulGrundy: Am trying to understand you here sir, do you mean the selection process is scriptural? I heard you will just know if you are one God will tell you the JW church I went too no one has been selected yet because I look round when the wine and bread WAS passed on and no one eat or drank I asked my JW friend if she knew anyone who has been selected. .she said she has met one JW member like that in Australia Amazing! I am sure he must be respected among his peers F orgive me for going on a sharp note sir! But predicting a impending doom on over 40 times and on 4 occasions being specific about the date: (1914, 1975, 1925, 1926). Re: I Went To A Jehovah Witness Church! by johnw74: 4:42am On Apr 26, 2015 |
Jesus was not liked because satan inspired people against Him, he still does. Jw's are not liked because they are self righteous, they even believe that they are saved by their own works. Jesus is not liked because He made himself out to be God, which He is. jw's are not liked because they make Him out to be "a god", and of course with there only being one True God, then all others are false gods. jw makes Jesus Christ out to be a false god. |

johnw74: thats a lie, Jehovah witnesses see Jesus just as how protestants and Anglicans see Jesus I went to their church for months I know what am saying JW's are just as self righteous like protestants JW believe they are going thru the right way my pastor in Nigeria used to say that too that protestants are the true Christians the only difference btw JW's and other churches is they dont celebrate Christmas not everyone takes holy communion and a different interpretation of rapture 1 Like |

BIBLESPEAKS: bros u know thats how my interest in them increased, by attending the meetings. First I was told by my mom that they don't pray. i was among those who laugh at them those days when I see my guy carry bag and move from one house to the other. I was initially invited to attend the memorial. for where? I turned down the request. the fact is that I hated them without any good reason. when I present my reasons, they always have good bible points to support themselves, I had none. It appears i just hated them cos that's what many do, and cos of what my mum said. And I overheard some class mates say they are a secret society. and so many of those lies. but one day my uncle's wife, who gave the invitation i rejected, came and calmly asked me why I insulted her by not honoring the invitation and not even telling her that I won't come. Her words touched me cos she was good to my family, so why treat her badly. I now promised to rather come to there meetings, just so that she won't feel too bad. That was just the intention. I went in there to see a surprise. An environment so calm and peaceful, young kids that I was much older than holding a copy of the bible, and opening it so fast. i never even knew how to locate all the bible book. That was not all, my greatest surprise was how this little kids will boldly raise there hand in the whole group, without fear, and give a nice answer to a bible question. I know that I personally won't be bold to raise my hand, not to mention commenting. the environment was civil no pastor with a distinct attire, no drums or noisy clap. The voice u hear is that of the speaker during public talk. And I saw with my eyes when they opened and closed with prayer. I said "what?" i asked myself of what use is my age as a christian if this little ones can locate and open there bible while i find it hard to do so. Not only that, it was as if I won an award, come and see how people came and greeted me. My uncle now took special interest in me, buying me cloths, shoes. some bros there given me neck tier, transport fare etc. They were loving! Though it took time before I baptised cos when my thinking grew, I had to engage my self in a personal research about religion during my university years. My uncle thought that since I was to live home, and I was living with a CPM cousin of mine, that I would join his church. he was wrong. At a time, I got dissatisfied about religion. I doubted if the right religion as I read in the bible was still available. That led me to an indept research, starting from first century to trace if I could see that first religion. I found a surprise - no first church, and one available in terms of age had pagan teachings mixed with it,and others took on this corruption. I finally landed to jw as the best choice. Though am still opened minded, but for years now, there seem to be no other choice. The witnesses love for the bible fascinates me. They stand by it even if all other religion teach the opposite, no threat can make them cower. They also humble to make changes, but that does not come by threats. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Jehovah Witness believe in the Trinity "The doctrine of the Trinity — that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are each equally and eternally the one true God " so how can you say they dont see Jesus as God they are not Jewish |

johnw74: what you said was true I just went to their site but this is a surprise to me, I wld have noticed if, they didnt worship Jesus but I clearly didnt Yes. We believe in Jesus, who said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) We have faith that Jesus came to earth from heaven and gave his perfect human life as a ransom sacrifice. (Matthew 20:28) His death and resurrection make it possible for those exercising faith in him to gain everlasting life. (John 3:16) We also believe that Jesus is now ruling as King of God’s heavenly Kingdom, which will soon bring peace to the entire earth. (Revelation 11:15) However, we take Jesus at his word when he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) So we do not worship Jesus, as we do not believe that he is Almighty God. 1 Like |

Christians believe that Christ's finished work on the cross is all that is needed for Salvation, jw believe things have to be added to what Jesus did, like works for one thing, you have to be a jw is another. Most all the false religious orginisations and sects, say you have to be one of them to be saved, that is one way of knowing what is a false religion ... you have to be one of them. Christians are saved by Grace through Faith, we have Faith in Jesus Christ sacrifice for our Salvation. jw say, what Jesus did is not enough. jw say they are Christians, pathetic. |

I thought it was kinda arrogant when the JW preacher always say they are going through the right way but my pastor says that too not nice when pple say JW's are self righteous when every religious organization and other religions think that way |

I never saw JW condemn Jesus I guess I didnt pay attention JW's believe as Christians we are judged by our works thats why JW's go and preach from door to door but they know preaching from door to door wldnt make you go to heaven at the end of the day, God will still judge by your heart |

johnw74: It is this kind of lies that make people hate the witnesses. People hate the witnesses for many reasons. some hate cos they carry unpopular message. some hate them cos they expose the hypocrisy of there church, some hate cos they dont teach what will make there ear tickle, some hate cos that is there family heritage (they don't accept witnesses in there family), some hate us cos of what we teach and since they are not ready to take an unbiased look at a cherished doctrine. U will see people who will object to what we teach, if u offer to give bible proof for it, they ll tell u they don't need it. Yes, many are not open minded. Some hate cos they desire " trade by batter" from the witnesses. If they accept our proofs, they expect a reciprocal some how, whether there point is faulty or not - just accept it. We admit good points, and make changes when needed. But if any needs that, u have to give a good point, not an unscriptural assertion. I was preaching one day, and one man was asserting that he hate us cos pray before preaching to him. As i said "sir, can I show u why it is so?". he said "u see? u people don't accept that u are wrong". he later drove me away. So for that man, his mind is already made up, he does not want to know anything different, whether it is from bible or not. But how can witnesses accept a point just cos he said it? 2. the word " god" as used in the scriptures do not always refer to someone who is assigned worship. It is title probably meaning a "mighty one". It is in this context that we use it, not in terms of worship. read psalm 82:6 1 Like |

johnw74: On whether u need to be a jw to be saved or not, see our answer from our website - www.jw.org No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God’s promised new world, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” ( Acts 24:15 ) Additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation. In any case, it’s not our job to judge who will or won’t be saved. That assignment rests squarely in Jesus’ hands.— John 5:22, 27. www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/who-saved/#?insight[search_id]=8c5fbb39-1e3c-4f7e-9700-df4a2d4af1e6&insight[search_result_index]=1 when u access that link, scroll down to see more answers to what we believe. You claim to know what we teach, isn't it hilarious what you said above? On your question whether we believe we are saved by works, see an answer to that from our website, I quote: Likewise, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe God’s promise of everlasting life for all who obey him. ( Romans 6:23 ) We endeavor to share our faith with others, hoping that they will benefit from God’s promises. But we don’t believe that we earn our salvation by engaging in our ministry. ( Romans 1:17; 3:28 ) Really, no human could ever do enough to merit such an astounding blessing from God. “He saved us because of his mercy, and not because of any good things that we have done.”—Titus 3:5 , Contemporary English Version. www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/salvation-and-door-to-door-ministry/#?insight[search_id]=84a28077-195e-46d1-9fcd-e6c0606a33b9&insight[search_result_index]=2 Do u also observe that we quoted another bible translation? some people don't believe we do. Many many lies about us. what have we done? Pls frequently consult this site for many Frequently Asked Questions about us pls, i take God beg you sir. |
