I knew this is possible but we need more info on the:
Genuiness of the said farmland;
Documentation;
Is it family land or chieftaincy assigned/acclaimed land;
Any other hidden charges.

Never doubt all statement, make attempt to do fact finding to know reality. I left Lagos in 2006 september with 30k after hearing about this axis to start something but to the Glory of God am a force to reckon with. I acquired most of my landed Property cheaply with genuine documents for farmimg. My major business that is school is on 5 acreas of land courtesy of cheapland. there is a river, not a stream. But I can't promise you'll get close to it. Its first come first serve so once areas around the river are gone......
Clearing depends on how you want to do it ie manually or with a tractor. This will depend on the scale of your operation. Normally, manual clearing is around N12,000 per acre. I'm just giving you an idea, prices differ for various reasons (mainly the type of vegetation). Also, you might have to do some stumping but that's left to you.

This is the 21 century and information is available @ your fingertips. How can someone say land isn't fertile when he hasn't even seen it? Talkless of doing a soil test?
