Nah, I just know my sci-fi tropes, whenever you watch or read something that involves time travel, there are certain things to expect eg you expect at least one paradox, the butterfly effect etc, even the title of the film gives it away (predestination paradox aka closed time loop). It still was a nice mind-f*** though, when you realised you've just watched a film where the main cast has been reduced drastically in a rather truly unconventional love story that is unwittingly both the sub-plot & the plot...and a very interesting way of fighting one's own demons...

Looking closely at this movie it has its own flaws tho. ... They couldn't give the viewer a complete origin of the main character" john" ... We can't say he's infinite either... He didn't just exist from nowhere... Anyways ... I'd give this movie 7/10

A temporal causality loop is a scenario in which some earlier event #1 is the cause of (or at least one of the causes of) some later event #2, and through time travel, event #2 is also the cause of event #1. The paradox occurs when a time traveler is caught in a loop of events that "predestines" or "predates" him or her to travel back in time. In this case, event #2 would be the event of the time traveler going back in time, and #1 would be something that time traveler did in the past that in turn influenced him or her to travel back in time.

There's a cat in a box, that has like a 50-50 chance of living, because there's a vial of poison that's also in the box. So regular physics would say that's it's one or the other, that the cat's either alive or dead, but Quantum physics would argue they both exist simultaneously, that it's only when you open the box that they collapse into a event. In fact, to understand more about alternate reality and the whole ish, y'all need to watch "Coherence". Wow!

Thought you might have lost it for a second...Heard about Coherence via BBC Film Review a few months back, the reviewer (Mark Kermode) said good things about it. All I remember is it was a weird dinner party, and the guy that played Xander, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is in it.
