In Nigeria, we practice the left hand drive on the right hand side of the road right?
That road is a double lane road right? If the road was blocked and the driver was driving against traffic, shouldn't the bus on the other lane be facing the same direction as the unfortunate car? To further show you signs that the road may not have been blocked, From the displayed pix, notice that the bus on the other lane is on the left side of the road which wouldn't have been so if they were using that other lane to boycott the aforementioned bridge. If they were sharing that other lane to avoid the bridge, those cars on the other lane would have been on the right part of that lane and you would have seen cars facing the same direction as the unfortunate car on the left part of that lane where the bus is.

Is that the reason for the bridge to collapse. The deceased were warned meaning they knew failure was immenent. That doesn't absolve the constructors of liability for engineering failure.

Seven persons including a taxi driver and his passengers died this afternoon after an uncompleted pedestrian bridge at Dorayi quarters in Kano state collapsed on them at about 4.45pm today April 26th. According to reports, construction workers had warned the taxi driver and pedestrians not to pass under the bridge as it was still under construction but they ignored the warning and as soon as the taxi driver drove under the bridge, it caved, crumbling on the taxi killing the driver, its passengers and other pedestrians. The bodies of the victims have been deposited at a hospital mortuary.
