Buhari's/APC.'s Campaign Promises by anonimi: 3:44pm On Apr 24, 2015 |
There have been some doubting Thomas people who said APC and Buhari took us for a ride by promising heaven plus alujanna in order to secure our votes. Now that they have won, I am creating a thread to freeze/conserve/archive their promises for posterity and comparison. Please feel free to post yours as well. Thanks. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Another one from way back in 2011. Should be very easy to achieve with APC having more than 2/3rd majority in NASS to pass bills. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2343594_buharitruefederalismpromise_jpegc85970dabfc1bf2df5d730398a429913 egift:

EMMYLASHTINS:Buhari did not put a timeline... Buhari never mentioned 2 months; the Amanpour interview video is still available on the CNN website. Also Buhari never mentioned anything about making N1=$1. Elections are over now and NIgerians have a huge task of holding the president elect accountable to his words. Let us not trivialise this by quoting misleading political falsehoods which he never really said. This is no longer a time for the jokes. 1 Like 1 Share |

Buhari To Probe ObaSanjo Power Regime “We need to know how much has been spent so far. Over $16 billion was spent by Obasanjo regime, yet we don’t have power. Also, the current government under Jonathan said we now have over 4,000 mega watts, yet our people don’t have the power” Buhari said. Asked whether he would probe successive governments on power fund, he replied: “What I said was very clear. We want to know how the money was spent because Nigerians doesn’t have the power.” www.nairaland.com/629253/ill-probe-jonathan-obasanjo-power Buhari March, 2011 2 Likes |

omolami: omolami: omolami:@omolami This is meant to be a serious thread, whether we like it or not, Buhari is NIgeria's president for at least the next 4 years. The elections are over and the time for politicking and jokes have passed. There were lots of promises by Buhari/APC (both realistic and clearly fake) and there were also lots of fabricated promises which mischievous individuals concocted and tagged to Buhari. But this is no longer the time to clown around (like you are doing). Let's please focus on the real promises. |

obailala: obailala: Let me make this crystal clear- anything PUBLISHED as being a campaign promise by Buhari that was not denied BEFORE the elections forms part of the platform of promises he made in the sales pitch/packaging bought by those who voted him in and to which he will be held accountable. Denying AFTER the fact (elections) does not cut it. Surely!!! 2 Likes |

obailala: Firstly this is a very important cause to my heart. True federalism holds the possibility for reduced dependence on Niger Delta oil and growing other sectors of our economy for EMPLOYMENT creation after what may be some difficult period initially including collapse/merger of non-viable states that were created by the military DICTATORS to simply share the national cake. Secondly, Buhari was elected based on his reputation since he has been in the public space in the mid-70s as the military governor of North Eastern state. All he said and did since then form parrt of who he is and what we bought, talk less of a promise he made in 2011 while campaigning for the presidency. I hope you understand my PoV. 2 Likes |

anonimi:Just like I said earlier, there are lots of REAL promises which we can focus on. Why expend your energy on 'alleged' promises thereby turning this thread to a joke? The elections are over, the political season is over. We need to be focussed on the real promises else Buhari/APC will simply ignore the rants again (just like they did before the elections and tell you they have better things to think about other than responding to every single flimsy allegation by all and sundry). 1 Like |
