The Dutch language and Afrikaans are similar but not the same.

That said, there are Obviously some similarities and cultural exchanges between the Igbo and Ikwerre largely due to proximity, and/or ancestry...But now, language differences are many..It is practically impossible for Igbos to understand the dialects of most clans within Ikwerreland...Even if the heard snippets, we cared less.

Now, If a people collectively decided to dissociate themselves from Igbos, to the extent of having same recognised in the constitution, it is on the Igbos to accept that decision in good faith.

Since the 70's, we have ensured that we arent fated together with the Igbos..we will pursue our collective destiny as Ikwerre people....The Igbos shouldn't be seen as dragging the issue unnecessarily.
