Some have contacted NLNG multiple times with regards change of location, but no acknowledgement of any sort. Makes sense though since the dates aren't fixed yet. The profile pages are also offline so no changes possible from there.
I'll suggest a reply to the final invite stating dates of assessment, it is well.

Hi guys. My first time here. I personally feel AC was moved for two reason. we've all been focused on one. Good thing that has been sorted out. The second reason, however is much less out of our control.
NPComplete:

Well..if no mails are sent by the end of next week, u guys should probably forget about AC in May.

And the second reason according to ur reckoning will be the dwindling oil prices, right?

Hopefully, it will happen this time.

Some people at entry-level when they applied for this job are already supervisors.

Its good the elections have come and gone.
The juice will be so worth the squeeze!!!!

@ All,
Please permit me to voice some concern. When this vacancy was advertised in 2013, the age limit at the time was 28 years. Applicants that were 28 years of age at the time are now 30 years. If we assume resumption to be slated for early 2016, they will be approaching 31 years of age. How can a 31 year old man/woman be employed as a graduate trainee?

My fear is that NLNG doesnt use this as another of their numerous yardsticks to disqualify applicants.

Just saying.

You spoke my mind!

At my age, it's important to be stable and get experience at my current organization. The opportunity to jump companies again and starting afresh as a trainee is not attractive. NLNG has delayed too much.

I understand your concerns only too well bro. But Ill advice you to exercise caution before making that conclusion. Unless you are already in the oil and gas industry then, I'll agree with you. But if you are in ANY OTHER industry and this job clicks, maguy, I'll suggest you go for it cos the opportunities there are crazy, the terms and conditions of service are mad and mind you, you still have a long career span ahead of you which I guess will be at least 25 years or longer if you opt for an early exit or otherwise.

You think any company will think of holding a recruitment process this long if they are not so sure that they are one of the baddest in the industry?

bro, I am in the industry. My multinational Jv company takes in graduate over 30 and with some years of experience as trainee.... shell does this too, that's why salaries on offer may differ

Companies only use age limit to cut down on the number of applicants, not because there is anything special about the age group. A lot of IOC are Equal Opportunities Employers and recruit irrespective of age. I don't see how being over 28 years which is the maximum age requirement for this position will be used for disqualification after one had qualified earlier. It doesn't make sense to consider someone who was qualified say by a short of 1 day only to disqualify him after a day of closing application and be like, "sorry dude. Although u were qualified as at 31 of February 2013 as was the condition, today u are no longer qualified to have been qualified during the application cos u allowed a day to be added to your days after closing of application". lol. The age requirement was for APPLICATION, not RECRUITMENT.

Ok cool.

Even tho i dont know your company (the JV you mentioned), I give you the benefit of doubt.

But maguy, no tell me say Shell dey employ over 30 year old applicants as graduate trainee o. Cos I applied many times in the past and was only shortlisted at my first 2 attempts. All applications for the position of a graduate trainee to shell after the first 2 attempts were snubbed.

For the first time in about five months, I am starting a week with some 'serious' level of expectations (because at the moment, NOTHING is holding NLNG from calling for AC).

Wishing you all a great week ahead.

Cheers!

Did they indicate what date you need to send in the required documentation? My deadline is fast approaching and I'm out of office.

Ma foya, Ma beru, all na play. Though I will like the request for updated CV/ request for present location/ notification of assessment centre day and location mail to drop right away, I will be expecting the mail after handover and there is certainty of peaceful transition especially with Nyesom.
Moreover, its just 1 stage left that'll typically take 1 month to complete and expected resumption is October thereabouts, so there is adequate time for all. Stay true to you.
