Several times I get confused when I see highly educated people miss using the word Tout for Lout, why?
According to advance dictionary

So why do people like Tinubu, GEJ, Buhari, Sanusi and many other educated Nigerians end up miss-representing tout for lout?? Could it be that the dictionary is not updated when they were in school?
Even if I correct some people around on this I end up been abused and disrespected especially when I can't get quick access to a dictionary to confirm my point.

English is a living language. Therefore, what WAS may not be the SAME as what IS correct. However, your observation is most appreciated.

And I wonder how you failed to realise that what you represented as two words "miss used" is actually wrong and should be one word: "misused".
And it should be in its present tense not in its past tense, most likely because of the presence of the auxiliary verb.
