AgapeCharis: a typical dull Nigerian response. Instead of asking why I say Nigerians are dull you reject it ( In typical Nigerian style, I assume you will say in the blood of jesus and all that crap) That you don't like what is said doesn't mean it isn't true. Nigerians as a collective are a bunch of dulll people, it is not to say there aren't a few who actually think and reason. We don't think, we don't engage our brains. The purpose of education is to train the brain to think. Educated Nigerian at best simply amass facts but don't think, don't reason. It's why our country is whjat it is today. Dull leaders, dull followers! One major reason but surely not the only one is they have all surrendered their brains to Pastors and religion. Nairaland is supposedly the most trafficked internet site in Nigeria, Justrread the comments on a typical page and you have an insight into the IQ of the average Nigerian and these are mostly graduates!!!. |

femi4: Exactly all Nigerian do is watch Africa magic where the theme of every movie is either Jazz, husband or wife snatching, or rituals for money. They dull themselves with Africa magic and then they dull themselves with religion. They turn all these low level actors and pastors into their role models and then they get annoyed when you say they are dull! Poverty of the mind! 1 Like |

MaximusMeridius:Nigerians are not dull, check every sector (Education, sports, Music, Health etc) in the World, you ll see at least five Nigerians doing wonders there. |
Re: Eniola Badmus And Desmond Elliot On Set by Nobody: 10:32am On Apr 29, 2015 |
MaximusMeridius:Who's the dull person here?? First, you stereotyped your claim which is nothing but baloney. Secondly, you saw a comment from someone with an "f" attached to her moniker and you referred to the person with "he". Now, to address you properly. What do you mean by we don't think, we don't reason blah blah blah?? The brain behind Nairaland you're surfing currently is a Nigerian. Let me not waste my time with you. Sort your bitter self out. With all the intelligence you have, what have you done? Have you been able to better the life of anybody? |
Re: Eniola Badmus And Desmond Elliot On Set by Nobody: 10:35am On Apr 29, 2015 |
femi4:Leave that one to be talking rubbish. Nigerians are dull yet they were the first to contain Ebola. |
Re: Eniola Badmus And Desmond Elliot On Set by Nobody: 10:36am On Apr 29, 2015 |
femi4: If you cared to read, I said "as a collective". No one is born dull, you are a product of your nurturing and your environment If you live in an environment that doesn't promote the use of your brain then you won't use it because you don't have to. Nigeria is an environment that promotes dullness and mediocrity so even without realising it smart people become dull. One reason Nigerians do well abroad is because they have to engage their brains to succeed, it's about the environment. |

Mr Agape you are being pedantic! you talk about Male of female poster who cares, is that the issue? We contained ebola, so what, that's your claim to fame clap for country!! If Ebola is a sign of our collective intelligence, why can't we build good roads, why can't we have electricity, pipe borne water, good education system, why do we have import fuel in a nation that is one of the biggest Oil producers in the world, if we are so intelligent why do we need chad, Niger and Mali to help us fight Boko Haram? Why is is that no one worth his salt will send his child to a Nigerian University? Because our collective dullness and myopia has led to selfishness and a primitive acquisition of wealth and corruption. Going to school doesn't mean you are smart, being able to speak English doesn't mean you are smart, the ability to think and analyze is what makes you intelligent and you don't need to go to school for that! I said as a collective, which if you have a brain means "typically" and implicit in that is that there are exceptions, pointing out a few exceptions does not negate my assertion that we are dull people!! You say you stopped Ebola but your health care system has collapsed, you shout Centre of excellence but even the high brow areas in lagos are slums, you shout giant of Africa but you can't get basics to work, you say you are a graduate yet you can't perform mundane tasks. But when it comes to Night vigil, we are no 1! when it comes to exporting dullness across Africa in the form of Nollywood, we are no 1. the only thing we know how to do is pray!, God this God that, Blood of Jesus this, Jehovah that. Now we are all shouting change as if anything is going to change if the common man doesn't himself change!!! We celebrate mediocrity in this country, that you tout containing Ebola as an achievement should fill you with sadness, Countries contain threats and epidemics everyday, they don't go around asking for a nobel prize for doing their jobs! Tell me a Nigerian "WORKING IN NIGERIA" has found a cure for Ebola, then we can talk!!! Dull, Dull, Dull!!!!! 1 Like |

Mr Maximus, I wouldn't waste my time arguing with you. I have better things to do with my time. You can believe all you want but Nigerians are not dull - your opinion doesn't change that. See you around. |
