South Africa has NEVER encountered or modified a T-72 tank that has ERA armour....you only touched an old school RHA type of T-72 grin grin
.

Not much of a difference, really. The body of the other one is only configured to load ERA bricks to minimise the damage but it won't stand Ingwe missile. The bricks can be loaded and offloaded for protection against RPGs.

South Africa can still modify it with their combat suit.

Olifant Mk1B has both composit and reactive armor
http://www.army-technology.com/projects/olifant/

All SANDF Olifants are of the Mk1A standard at the least

The SA Army currently owns up to 266 of the tanks in five variants: the Mk2, Mk1B and Mk1A MBT
http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15953:new-rims-for-the-olifant-mbt-&catid=50:Land&Itemid=105

That is the only MBT we have.

Now the "military researcher" is being educated in a grand fashion

You forgot to educate me about why SAAF Gripen jet has only 75 km radar range in ground search mode, your own jet grin grin

Your source above did NOT mention how many Olifants have part composite armour.

I keep on using my military research to educate all South Africans about their own military, your old source data is 2011, my own data is current at year 2013....SANDF has ONLY between 191 to 203 units of Olifant tanks in service today....NOT 266 units 1

LOL....your own defenceweb and army technology both says SANDF has only 26 units of Olifant tank with partial composite armour.

"South African Army:

Armour
191: 177 Olifant 1A/B (Of which 133 in storage) and 26 Olifant Mk 2 (for training)."

"The Olifant Mk.1B main battle tank has a number of armor improvements over it's predecessor. Passive armor has been added to the glacis plate and nose of the hull. Turret has been fitted with stand-off composite armor. Protection against mines has been improved by adding double floor. New side skirts were fitted. Yes, and this post of yours is supported by the simple OPINION of another.

Racially motivated OPINION.
of course, only in South Africa is truth racism. your military is in comatose and are looking for "skilled" personnel to employ after filling up the hierarchy with zulu freedom fighters. the "racist" blogger even quotted your national defence secretary. your men couldn't even operate newly bought equipments and you are claiming your former spear-wielding zulus are training Nigerian soldiers. hmn.

you are a soweto zulu too ashamed to claim your roots. you claim to be white in the shadows, but every "true" white south african is ASHAMED of south africa NOW. Especially its military and every other state- run
institution. South africa is a waste of their sweat and blood in cash, labour and investments of over 300 years!!

WHITES are minding their money/companies but also venting their anger on blogs, internet forums and sites on the vast decay and rot eating the fruits of their blood away in south africa, and NEVER taking up permanent squatting permit on a Nigerian forum to cheer incompetence, inefficiency and mediocrity that is plaguing south africa since1994.

only a zulu still shouts like you do. he has lost nothing since 1994 other than the sense of shame.

My source says No Data, multiple sources have been posted here that prove the Olifant MK1b has composite Armor!, you basically kill your argument each time you say only the MK2s have composite armor, yet the MK1b and MK2 are identical regarding their exterior.

The same way as the colonial masters bequeathed the wealth of mineral resources to Afrikaners. Where was the black SA then? Don't you think now is the time to implement more of redistributive policies like BEE to distribute wealth from the minority to majority by way of affirmative action, the same way it was implemented in the US to empower previously disadvantaged African Americans.

None of those generals know anything about war tactics, all that they are looking at is the map and where Boko haram could be, that's all. Their tactics were all defeated until Barlow arrived to teach them one thing or two.
