agaugust: Not much of a difference, really. The body of the other one is only configured to load ERA bricks to minimise the damage but it won't stand Ingwe missile. The bricks can be loaded and offloaded for protection against RPGs. South Africa can still modify it with their combat suit. |

patches689: You forgot to educate me about why SAAF Gripen jet has only 75 km radar range in ground search mode, your own jet Your source above did NOT mention how many Olifants have part composite armour. I keep on using my military research to educate all South Africans about their own military, your old source data is 2011, my own data is current at year 2013....SANDF has ONLY between 191 to 203 units of Olifant tanks in service today....NOT 266 units 1 LOL....your own defenceweb and army technology both says SANDF has only 26 units of Olifant tank with partial composite armour. "South African Army: Armour 191: 177 Olifant 1A/B (Of which 133 in storage) and 26 Olifant Mk 2 (for training)." jln115again: Pooh, story story, nothing classified, only 26 units of Olifants have composite, 13 units MK 1B and 13 units the MK 2. No available data does not mean composite armour....not available means even you do NOT know ! When you have proof of composite armour, come back and argue, your source ONLY MENTIONS RHA OLD ARMOUR . 2 Likes |

Passive armor has been added to the glacis plate and nose of the hull. Turret has been fitted with stand-off composite armor. Protection against mines has been improved by adding double floor. jln115again: Simple English language..... 58 tanks purchased by Excalibur, 58 purchased to sell them to Nigeria. I thought SA white men can read and interpret simple English language. "Czech company Excalibur Group, led by a former armorer Pavel Strnad, managed to acquire as many as 58 T-72 tanks (T-72M1 variant) from Hungary to sell them – with other heavy military equipment – to the army of Nigeria , locked in a savage conflict with Boko Haram." http://ftr.wot-news.com/2015/02/01/czechs-sell-tanks-to-nigeria-to-fight-boko-haram/ Butt Hurt Dundeees . 4 Likes 1 Share |

Patchesagain:of course, only in South Africa is truth racism. your military is in comatose and are looking for "skilled" personnel to employ after filling up the hierarchy with zulu freedom fighters. the "racist" blogger even quotted your national defence secretary. your men couldn't even operate newly bought equipments and you are claiming your former spear-wielding zulus are training Nigerian soldiers. hmn. you are a soweto zulu too ashamed to claim your roots. you claim to be white in the shadows, but every "true" white south african is ASHAMED of south africa NOW. Especially its military and every other state- run institution. South africa is a waste of their sweat and blood in cash, labour and investments of over 300 years!! WHITES are minding their money/companies but also venting their anger on blogs, internet forums and sites on the vast decay and rot eating the fruits of their blood away in south africa, and NEVER taking up permanent squatting permit on a Nigerian forum to cheer incompetence, inefficiency and mediocrity that is plaguing south africa since1994. only a zulu still shouts like you do. he has lost nothing since 1994 other than the sense of shame. 2 Likes 1 Share |

mzilakazi:So the Afrikanners are your colonial masters...... Point taken. Nigerian companies are totally dominant in Nigeria's oil sector. We didn't steal assets from Shell, total, chevron or any other multinational player. We built Afren, Seplat, Famfa, Oando, nestoil, NNPC, Sapetro, Conoil etc etc from scratch. Why can't you black south-african dullards do same? |

Henry120: Nigerian and their comprehension issues again. Did I mention anything Afrikaner there? I said your colonial masters offered you a platform having discovered oil for you. The same way as the colonial masters bequeathed the wealth of mineral resources to Afrikaners. Where was the black SA then? Don't you think now is the time to implement more of redistributive policies like BEE to distribute wealth from the minority to majority by way of affirmative action, the same way it was implemented in the US to empower previously disadvantaged African Americans. Anyway this topic is too big for your head since your country is all blacks. Your knowledge of affirmative action politics and inequality is confined only to your Nigerian space that has nothing to be categorised as PDIs, ie, previously disadvantaged individuals. |

mzilakazi: You r3tard!! The Afrikanners are also your colonial masters by your tactic admission. Hence, your government's policy to grab assets through the BEE farce. You blacks were busy chorusing "yes messar" and serving tea, that was where you were. 21 years in Power, yet you still need to depend on affirmative action to setup a store, goes to show how mentally handicapped you lot are. 21 years in power, yet you m0rons still are claiming previously disadvantaged......
