DeeTus: Haba! Though it's a faceless forum, that doesn't give u d license to call someone senseless. Don't be too quick to judge. Count yourself lucky you are more informed. Probably he got to know about the forum on late. What the guy needed was advise and possibly the way out which Akin gave. |

sealleone:Community College? How old is ur friend. What's ur friend highest level of qualifications, I guess he as a Bachelor degree already. I believe the denial wasn't because he's resuming summer |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by Ripleus2: 4:55pm On Apr 30, 2015 |
sealleone: I think summer semester for undergraduates is usually for catching up on studies before Fall semester (e.g. if the student failed courses in that academic year, or the student wants to gain more credit points) and also for REU. For graduate students, it is for more research. Then lastly there are those that go for summer-only short-courses, as I said before. I think applying to a 2 year community college - which are usually inroads for illegal immigration - was the first red flag, and the second one was trying to go during summer semester from another country, which is not a normal resumption time. Usual resumption for first-time international students is Fall, and in some other cases, Spring. 1 Like |

Ripleus2:No, summer classes are normal classes as well, gives opportunity to graduate fast than attending just fall and spring. Students get admitted for the summer session and its not a red flag either. Community college is just the issue, except you are below 19 years with a CC I-20 then the VO might overlook. Spring is a normal resumption date, but the general ones are usually Spring and Fall semester. Summer classes as adopted by Nigerian private universities which is strictly for students who have carryovers to write is different from US summer classes. It is used to gain extra credits and its better for undergraduate student. 2 Likes |

DeeTus: He might be aware but with the assurance the agent gave him that they dont or wont verify (which most times the dont though) makes him thinks all is well....most NIgerians fall victim of that.....a friend of mine used it and he was given visa though but if anyone ask for my advice i will definitely say a NO because its better to go with a genuine acount that is not your parents own and claim the person is your sponsor than to go with fake one. Most Nigerians still dont understand that America is not NIgeria where you can easily get away with anything(or buy you wayout with money). 1 Like |

djmakson:Again, i am sorry. I didn't mean to insult or disregard anyone here. We're all friends. Use of document is personal issue and does not have anything to do with Nairaland. It's really a personal decision. Administrative Processing is nothing but a way of checking if the information you supplied is correct or incorrect. He probably would have averted this in the course of interview and the CO could have just given him a normal denial than put his application to AP. This is what i wanted to tell him in an e-mail. I feel for him. But the door is not closed yet. 1 Like |

penroll55:Some people get away with fake papers or a lie. However many, many get caught later because they can not remember the lie so submit paperwork that gives them away. Leading to long ban. |

Una well done o, May God continue to bless you guys abundantly. Yu guys r too much. That said, Need your help asap. I would like to know if there's anyone in Georgia State University at the moment? I applied for Grad Studies but am having issues with Transcript delivery. My transcript was delivered to GSU since last year but the application check in portal indicates that my transcript is yet to be delivered. I have sent several mails and made several calls however the Graduate Officer's response is not helpful. So i was wondering if there's any nairalander who currently attends GSU to help me pursue my case. Thank you very much. |

sealleone:Imagine 28 year old going for Associate Degree not even BSc, also in community College. That's a red flag bro. The VO will never approve his visa. The VO knows he's not going for study, he's just looking for an escape root. |
