Iamoilprince:at least it wasn't what i was thinking.. you should do a watchful waiting, avoiding that particularly program/ n workouts for now, you still may be having pains from the sprain that program caused... its worth noting that; you start new program gradually, to acclimatize.. you should try using topical analgesic like nerve and bone liniment, if the pain isn't deep, but on the surface. after a week let us know how it goes.. quick recovery |

PipSurgeon: Thanks vry much for ur reply i appreciate. I forgot to tell u thar the pain is not on the surface. One major factor that brings the pain is my laying down position (facing downward). |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by PipSurgeon(m): 2:18pm On May 03, 2015 |
Iamoilprince:hmm.. may i know the particular program, if it has a name, aside the program, any history of chest trauma? it may also be rib fracture or dislocation? |

Two very important diagnostic factors: Is vision affected? Is there ocular pain? If yes: visit an ophthmalogist as soon as possible. If no: make an appointment with the eye doctor at your convience, but do it eventually. There is a conjunctival nevus like freckles of the eye if you will. There is also pinguecula, both are benign. Both are benign. There is a possibility that it can be melanoma; which is malignant. So, be safe and check it out by an eye doctor. Nevus doesn't require treatment except for aesthetics reasons and even then it would be surgical excision. Pinguecula, you can google info on very simple remedies such as artificial eye lubrication. Melanoma is malignant cancer. This one requires very in depth assessment and management by medical specialists. Good luck. stadora: |

What is your age range? How about ECG? I am interested in the ECG results. They likely mean you have ventricular hypertrophy. How's your blood pressure? It sounds musculoskeletal especially if it changes with position of sleep etc. Take ibuprofen and the like and see if it helps. In the mean time, proper form during exercise may be helpful. I need three things from you: Age, ECG and Blood pressure measurement. And, we will go from there. Iamoilprince: |

iamoilprince, Are you athletic? Your systolic blood pressure is stage 2 hypertension. It needs to come down. I suggest a couple more BP measured on two different occasions preferably as you wake up in the morning or at your most relaxed state. If persistently over 120 systolic, I would get on anti-hypertensive. How much of ibuprofen did you take? Ie: dosage? Also, obtain ECG at your earliest time. Best. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 4:24pm On May 03, 2015 |
Iamoilprince: How high was it? I think it's likely musculoskeletal. Just continue with the ibuprofen extra strength every 4 to 6 hours as needed for the pain. Find out how high the cholesterol and blood pressure is and manage accordingly. Good luck. |

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE OVERWEIGHT FOR EVER
My husband used to complain that after four
kids I no longer take care of myself that am I
the only married woman with kids? He was
adamant that his friend's wife has four kids too
and yet she looks trim without big belly and
smart. I continue to BE adding weight as I never
take him serious for his complaint as I felt
nothing can be done about it. Until recently
when personally I started yo be feeling
embarrassed going out with him because I look
so big and weigh also I find it difficult to do
most of those domestic and office work I do
before.
I felt bitter but lowered my pride to ask a friend
on how she has been maintaining her look and
she showed me a bottle
of T5fatburners T5 Fat burner pills.

uobimba: I would say to describe this skin issue that you are having. But, if you sure that it is eczema or have been properly diagnosed by a health professional, then ok. Eczematous skin are sometimes hard to deal with. First, you need good moisturizer lotion, and apply to affected area when skin is still damp. Then, consider getting prescription for low potency topical steroid. See how that works. There are other more potent options, but start with those first. Antifungal will not help unless you have fungal infection or superimposed fungal infection. Eczema is not an infection nor is it infectious, if you are sure that it is eczema. So no need to isolate your belongings and the like. Good luck. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 2:01pm On May 06, 2015 |
Chibaby87: You can get pregnant at any of those days. Your menstrual cycle is a cyclic event, meaning the cycling of egg through is ongoing. So, even when the old unfertilized egg and un implanted uterus is being recycled as blood, the new ovum is being released from ovary is going through the same process. This means, that the new ovum can still be fertilized by a sperm in the process (even when you are bleeding or finishing bleeding from the old ovum). Sperm hangs on in the vagina for up to a week after insemination. So, technically you can still get pregnant at any of those days. The closer the days are towards your ovulation (mid-cycle), the greater than chances of pregnancy. Good luck. |

Hello Doctor. I have been diagnosed with a non-toxic multinodular goiter. I had an FNA and the result came negative. The Endo scheduled me for a total thyroidectomy because (as he claimed, its pressing on some vessels) all other test were withing a normal range except vit.D for which he prescribed a supplement. I have a read a lot of life being imbalanced after a TT. On the other hand (the Endo said the surgery was not urgent, this was Sept.2014) so i feel i should explore a natural diet change approach which I've read a lot about as well as pray for and believe for a miracle. The issues of damaged vocal chords and not being balanced emotionally, overweight etc are my reservations. I stated a thyroid supplement (Thyroid Support) but my mind said I should stop it because its not that natural as claimed and might lead to self medication. (my diet specialist adviced me to use it. I believe in the natural food approach though which is hinged on the ability of the body to heal itself. I also do not want a situation where I would regret not going for the surgery....do you get my point. Going under the knife is not my issue really as I have had a myomectomy and Cesarean Section twice...getting back to normal after the surgery is. Please i need your advice. While at this, I want to seek a second opinion from another Doctor in Nigeria (,Note: The first diagnosis was done in the UAE. please i need all you can tell me about it and especially your candid opinion about my case as well as life after surgery. Thank you. |

Hi Doc, Have a feeling of heaviness at the back of my head,a m suppose to go for MRI test but no cash. Recent I try to use natural supplement till am able to raise the cash to do so. What do you think may happen because of the delay? |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 10:12pm On May 06, 2015 |
Imokay: Yea...well, one thing questions: are you having any symptoms such as: hoarseness, difficulty breathing/short of breath, difficulty swallowing? Any symptoms at all? IF it is non cancerous as the negative FNA indicated, the other reason why operative route is justifiable is if you are getting symptoms from compression from the goiter. If you are asymptomatic, the nodule may still grow and compressive up to a point that you may need to eventually get one. If you have no symptoms and choose not to go through operation, just do regular follow up for re-checks of the goiter with period exam and TSH check. You do run a risk of goiter becoming hyper functioning and send you into a thyrotoxic state. If you do get operated on, two options: lobectomy or (sub thyroidectomy) or you get total thyroidectomy. If total removal, you essentially have no thyroid gland/hormone, and you need replacement in the form of synthetic form after thorough post surgical follow up evaluation--which includes calcium check as well. Lobectomy is reserved to those whose compressive symptoms are caused by single nodule. I encourage you to obtain second opinion in regards with compressive nature of the goiter; that seems to be the determinative factor for you right now. Hope this answers your questions. Please do not hesitate if further questions. Best of luck. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Imokay: 1:16pm On May 07, 2015 |
Thank you so much Doc. I breathe well and my voice is ok but sometimes i just feel funny.....(I'm a very active person) but i just feel like I've been fasting for long sometimes...(you know that feeling) and a little cold....but its not regular. So I'm tempted to pass it for pms really. Like I said earlier, a total thyroidectomy was recommended and the fact thatI have been on natural (vegetable diet) to see if it can shrink the node ( because I have read of that possibility online as well (hoping its not hoax) I need you to please tell me what to expect with life on synthetic hormone. What are the side effects...I won't hesitate the surgery if after a second opinion it comes as the best option. I trust God to perfect it all which ever way but I just want to feel well and live well and long (lol) God bless you and thank you, Xiadnat: |
