justwise:justwise I agree with everything you said except the 6days stay. my first application I said I would stay 10 days bt my plans changed and I stayed 2 months. after which I returned to nigeria. I applied for a new visa and I got it too. so provided you dont exceed 6months u can stay as long as you want 2 Likes |

Hello again. This is really a helpful forum. My question is, does the UK embassy consider personal bank loans as proof of fund? It is clear from the bank statement that said loan was approved ans deposited to my friend's current account. Partial amount was then transferred to her savings account. The initial deduction in March is also clear from the statement. Thanks |

princenonny: That is not entirely true, if you work in Nigeria and apply for visa to spend your leave in the UK, are you suggesting that you can travel and stay as long as you want? |

Hello Justwise, Kudos to you and everyone contributing positively on uk visa success on this thread. Please a quick one Sir, I trade and introduce people to trade on the foreign exchange market,(FOREX) I applied for a training in the uk (training fee paid, hotel and flight) also I got an invitation from the institution that is training me in the uk and recommendation letter to uk from my institution here in Nigeria for the training and I use my own company as sponsoring company for the trip,as a trader i don't consistently run my bank account but keep generating more money in my forex account by way of earning commission on people referred so as a result of that,my company account doesnt have good balance currently and I dont want to lodge money from forex account of $5000 to my bank account so that they wont count it as a lodgement.. QUESTION IS - can I print out my forex account statement to support my bank balance to be use for the trip OR withdraw money from forex account and transfer it to bank and show evidence of transfer or lodgement? N.B Im going to uk for further training as delegate member from institute here in Nigeria, all expense paid PLEASE would appreciate prompt response as my biometrics is tomorrow. |

I see, but my friend still has sufficient fund even without the loan just so happened that it was approved early and she had to deposit half of it in her account one month before we applied. Thanks |

@ Justwise Thanks for the good work you guys are doing on this forum. I need you advice on my travel trip. I have been granted spouse visa with work permitted and will be travelling by end of the month. My questions are: 1 I have booked a one way ticket, is there a problem with that? 2 Apart from my TB test that expired during the application process with me , do I still need any vaccination certificate? Please bear in mind that i have not travelled to Lome not to talk of UK and I dont want to get caught up with any issue. |

daramolavo: THe only worry with one way ticket are the CRIMINALS called officials at Nigerian airport. Be ready! if asked for "something for us" Either make a lot of fuss and fight them (they might delay you past your flight.) Or be ready to settle them with something. It's up to you but have a plan. |

chimaamaechi17: You need to contact your school to ask them about visa application, they may have other Nigerians or African students that knows how to go about visa issue |

@justwise, d school instructed dat l hav to travel to close countries where Estonia embassy exist, in which dey stated Uk, Egypt, Georgia, Turkey, Italy nd Indian. But for me, UK is d closest nd cheapest. Wot l dont kno is if l stand a chance to get a uk visa as my elder brother is d only sole sponsor. More responses wud be appreciated... Thanks |

chimaamaechi17: Do you really think that the UK is closest and cheaper than Other countries? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by pato231(m): 5:16pm On May 03, 2015 |
chimaamaechi17: It will be best for you to apply in Egypt, I was going to study in Estonia before changed my mind and chose UK. Book a cheap h otel or bed and breakfast close to the embassy, when you submit the application you can travel back to nigeria and you will be notified if the application is successful or not, if it is you have to travel back to get the visa affixed to your passport, you can also decide to stay and wait for the result but can take up to 2 months . Pls notethis info were all I gathered in the year 2013, certain procedure may have changed. Contact the embassy in Egypt or better still call them. |

@Justwise In my work we trade currencies, oil, gold, stock,im a forex trader and also introduce traders to trade forex and earn commission for referral and for each time they trade I earn commission ,sometimes in a month I realize about $5,000usd or sometimes 3000$usd depending on trade activities for the month,so the statement is forex account statement. So the question is Can I withdraw money from my forex account to Bank or leave the money there and print out my forex statement and add it to my company bank account for my application? Hope you understand now sir? |

Hello, Kindly assist, Is there option of administrative review for a family visit visa. Person applied for 5years was refused(previous application was 5years and was given) Frequent traveller to the uk for over 30years. The refusal was based on length of time spent in the UK on recent visits. She travelled in 2013 october-Feb 2014, then June 2014 - November 2014. Note that the applicant is a retiree, sponsors herself, has investment is married and the length of her recent visits is due to the birth of her grandchildren in the last 3years in the UK. So my questions, 1. Can she get administrative review? 2. The applicant is also a US citizen (but she applied for uk visas cos with her US passport she can only stay 3months.) can she travel with that or will immigration at MM2 ask for her Nigerian stamp. |
