Have you already seen the photo of unknown gelatinous creatures with a sad, almost human face? Bet you’re asking “What is it?”. So, my friends. This is the fish!! Blobfish is a unique fish. It has a strange and repulsive appearance, it dwells at great depths. The British call it fish- toad and the Australians – goby. It consists of gelatinous gel and has an air bubble inside. It is not edible, but its kind is close to a complete destruction due to the fact that the fishermen of Australia and Tasmania are increasingly catching it with the rest of the deep seabed citizens, such as lobsters. You can find Blobfish on the depths of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Most often, this fish occurs at the coast of Australia and Tasmania, it always lives very deep in the water – from 100 to 600 meters. This fish has huge eyes and nose, looking like as human nose. Sad facial expression of blobfish can be explained by the fact that the interorbital space is wider than the diameter of its eyes. Blobfish has a unique structure of the body, making it quite unlike any other fish. Its body length reaches seventy centimeters, and it doesn’t have scales and fins. The weight of this unique fish can be up to 10 kilos. This fish has no muscles, it’s just drifting on the waves, having its mouth widely opened, in order to catch some food. Blobfish can wait for their victims, “hovering” in the water. Small invertebrates and plankton is the main source of food for them. Although these fish can swallow almost everything that is suitable for food and swims by itself into their mouths. It becomes the most caring when it comes to her offspring – blobfish ” incubate” their eggs. They’re constantly protecting and maintaining the offspring. After the kids are born, the fish “educates” them. The fry are never left without parental care, they are always close to their mother. Today blobfish is one of the most mysterious and unexplored beings on earth. But it does not make it any less popular on the Internet.[email]Have you already seen the photo of unknown gelatinous creatures with a sad, almost human face? Bet you’re asking “What is it?”.
