justicia: Hello... Sorry about your delay. I have seen a couple of retired Dad's accounts being used here. My Dad is also retired and he was my primary sponsor. I don't know much about your application package, but in addition to what other people have said, note the following. 1) INCOME LEVELS AND CASH FLOW - does your dad have the last payslip of his working days? This can prove how much he earned. His penison and/or gratuity can prove cash flow. The VO doesn't want your Dad to go broke because he wants to take you to school abroad. 2) DEPENDENTS - How many does he have? He can use his SOP to tackle this. 3) CAREER - He can also mention how longed he worked in his career and one or two achievements and say he did all that to see that you get the best of educations. The 3.5M is proof of that. Infact, if the 3.5M is in a fixed deposit, he can get his bank to write a letter to that effect and he can mention it was fixed for your education in his letter (this is common with retired sponsors). To be honest, you do not need to bother your uncle that much because his own side looks cool. His letter of introduction could also be looked at too. But if he doesn't mind, BOTHER him to put more money in his account. It is okay if you feel sad but remain focused. Wishing you the best. 2 Likes |

TempusQ:Hey Nwanne'm, sorry for the late reply. I'm just a jjc in these thing as there are more experienced guys on this thread. You know the best advice is the crowd-sourced advise. You get the good, bad and ugly and you choose the one that best suits your case because at the end of the day, it all boils down to YOU making the decision. So you can post anything you need clarification on here. Please ride on with your TRV app. |

Team12: Don't sweat it about the CAC documents. The Architecture stuff should be sufficient. You don't want to push your co-sponsor that hard that he revolts. If you are not still satisfied with the Architecture certificate and he doesn't want to release his CAC docs, you say he is a big shot in the Architecture industry, then his picture with his position or something might have appeared in the news. Print the newspaper page. I have not seen anyone do it here though but i guess it will work because I know someone who used it for an American Visa application to prove he was an executive officer in a bank. He included ALL newspaper cutouts where his face appeared. Wishing you the best! 5 Likes |

Graphical: Hey! The more, the merrier!!! Please shoot! The only donwside I see is bulky documents because you have to prove relationship with 3 of them, prove they are financially capable and prove that it is their utmost joy to sponsor you. Really, go ahead! Best of luck! 2 Likes |

Bennet642k2:Sorry to hear about your delay. Working on the assumption that the VO who reviewed your application was not drunk, kindly note the following points. 1. How to satisfy the officer that i will leave Canada after my studies? This is basically a home-tie issue. Some people use spouses. Others use family business. I used my long term goal. Your 1st paragraph in you SOP can contain your long term goal in relation to Nigeria and how the studies you are embarking on can make you achieve that goal. 2. Length of proposed stay in Canada ? ( I wrote an SOP and attached is an offer letter)Did your offer letter EXPLICITLY state how long your program will last for? Mine did not. It just gave a range of 4 - 9 semesters. The onus lies on you to state EXPLICITLY how long you plan to use to finish the program. Your sponsors should also collaborate how long you want to stay by stating EXPLICITLY how long they plan supporting you for. 3. Purpose of visit ( for sure i am going for study this one made me really angry so much.....)Really hard to play devils advocate on this one and assume the VO isn't drunk but you can look at the subject of all letters you submit. State it there that you are applying for a study visa in the subject of your letter of introduction. Your sponsors should also mention that. I assume you did that, so I will stop talking at this point. 4. my personal assets ? ( do they mean landed proprieties ?)Literally, that's what it means. But tonnes of people have got their TRV without using any landed property or even personal SOA. 5.travel history?Been to Iran, Syria or Turkey in the past 12 months? There is a part in one of the forms where you fill where you have been to. 6. my current employment situation ( finished NYSC last yr no job yet. Wat exactly do they mean?)NYSC is a job. Include it in your CV and state what you did during service. Don't say "no job yet". Are you studying for a professional exam? You can use that as what you currently do and add a spin to it to make it go in line with why you want to pursue your studies abroad. There is always a spin to add to the employment thingy. Pls help me I'm confused...Same here. I think the VO is pretty drunk or you might not have filled one of those computer generated forms. Best of luck if you want to refire. 10 Likes 1 Share |

deedee0: Letter from his bank stating he had that amount of money in them and the time it matures. Also my dad stated he kept it for my schooling. I heard some banks also include that fact in the letter on request (i.e. 'the customer reserved it for the education of their child' ) 1 Like |

you better do....you dont want to be locked in some kinda unnecessary tension zone when you submit Team12: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Nobody: 7:47pm On May 05, 2015 |
hayqinsbFX: Like it or not there is always a tension zone after submission. Many people just don't state it here while waiting it out and others cant be bothered about it after their TRV has been approved. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Nobody: 8:03pm On May 05, 2015 |
Team12: Yes..Yes...and Yes I personally have two friends who got TRV without submitting the PCC..You could also read parts past to see people who didnt submit and still got their visas. I must warn you though that all of these people submitted online so it may have more significance if you will be submitting paper application. In saying that I think your best bet is getting it and having ine less thing to worry about during the wait for trv.. Success. |

Team12: Its kinda compulsory for paper and not for online. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Nobody: 8:31pm On May 05, 2015 |
Team12: No one likes them..The process itself is pretty straight forward-Just find your way to Alagbon and speak with any officer you find. We used to have someone in the house who gave details of a particular officer for things like this but the powers that be have put paid to that. Should be between #4000-#6000 depending on jow much you can bargain. |

tnuola, Cocolav(I see you), modskiller, pchax, hayqins, Team12, thank you all for ur comments. I feel stronger knowing that u guys care. Am sorry am just responding, been at work all day, not lettn the delay bother me at all. Well this is the position now: Dad's account as at today is 2M. As per beefn it up, that's not gonna happen cos he's got no other source of income except his 50k pension which is paid monthly. So I feel using him again will raise a red flag, cos the V.O. will wonder why his SoA moved down from 3.8M to 2M in 6 weeks of my first app if he truly wanted to sponsor me. |
