Beautiful!
The world respects and rewards TIME, SEASON and ORDER. So, in order to succeed, you must have the ability to;
Know when to wait, know when to walk and know when to run. The earth doesn't tolerate inactivity, it's always rotating and rewarding action takers. You must know how long to wait, so that you don't for a reward that will never come, you must know the distance to walk so that runners going to the same destination don't overtake you and, you must know how hard to run, so that you don't run out of gas and faint a long way before the finished line.

ezeagu:

"Carved pillars in Obu house Abiriba.
Figures carved on the central pillar are: below, a woman with a waterpot on her head; above, an “Egbo runner” (i.e. the agent of the Ekpe [Egbo] secret society, his identity concealed beneath a tight fitting all enveloping costume and believed by the uninitiated to be a forest daemon. The servant of the Ekpe spirit to which the society ministers.)
— G. I. Jones, 1930s"
This is beautiful, i like it.

Reminds me of title men chambers in Umuoji ,early 80s. Most of these houses has been pulled down including one of the first storey building built in Idenmili in the17Th century.

This copy copy of Western things really finished us.

I'm not Igbo but if I had plenty of money, as an Igbophile, I would build a replica model village showing these various house designs.

They should build an Igbo village in Jamaica/Barbados like they did in Virginia.

There's a national museum in Enugu, and some small local museums in places like Igbo Ukwu.
