This APP link has fraud written all over it. I am not sure we applicants were meant to see that.

I just hope the purported free and fair recruitment process is not about to be tainted by HMA/CHIDI and the FED/SEN who will not be returning in the next dispensation.

We wanted some clue from FAAN and we have it... the long silence has been broken although this new DEVELOPMENT is CONFUSING ! I have read through the APP thing and i can't really say i understand wat it means, it could mean several things... But ofcourse its apparent that something is about to happen concerning the recruitment but i pray it will favour us...

The selection Evaluation Matrix is based on the criteria for the various jobs as established by FAAN.
NOTES ON THE SELECTION

Candidates meeting any of the following criteria are disqualified despite their total score:
Candidates who are over the age limit.
Candidates who have highest educational qualification that is higher or lower than that established for the position.
Candidates whose course of study does not match the required course of study as advertised.
A candidate’s Total Score is derived from the weighting of his/her scores of Aptitude Test, Physical Fitness Test, Oral Interview, Height, Age, Educational Qualification, and Experience as detailed in the requirements for the various jobs. In addition, each candidate’s credentials were reviewed.
Minimum total scores are established for each job. All candidates’ total scores must meet the minimum requirements to be considered for selection for employment.
Shortlisted candidates are subjected to the Federal Character requirements for equitable representation.
The top scorers from each State meeting the minimum scores required for each job are selected, thereby ensuring that States are equitably represented on the merit list.
The candidate chosen for the position of the AGM is the candidate with the highest total score.
The candidates chosen for PDMO were those with the highest total scores. The list was then moderated to ensure that each geopolitical zone is represented.

Good day everybody, in my opinion about what popped up on the FAAN website, it's nothing to worry about.. it's not something that is meant for the public, it's all for the site administrators. There was an error on the page and that was what led to that. And from what showed up.. it's still nothing to fret about. It's a breakdown of the people screened, and the list of people that will be employed. It's very explanatory.
I can't vividly explain the first part, which is the former..

2nd part is the list of the positions and required qualification for them

3rd part is just the disqualifications, either ur age, above 30 as stated there, ur qualification, that is just what disqualifies some people from getting invite at the first stage to go for the test.because not everybody got invite for the online test.

4th: with my understanding, is the final list. Note: do not be blinded to the last three (3) on that list.. because people will lay emphasis on just the MD, Minister, Senate and FCC and make comments like if u don't know any of these people forget it.. so what happens to the last three on the list.. we still have successful candidates from the whole exercises, which is divided into the last 3 on the list:
I. CV by FAAN, which shd be those that applied online.
II. Hardcopy, supplementary are those who submitted hardcopies.
III. Others: in my opinion am thinking it shd be those who didn't get invite for PFT but went for it, and did interview.. Gate crashers, who finally did well in the pft n interview successfully.

Final words, be calm, do not fret and keep ur hopes high. If u went thru all the processes to the final stage, be positive, be optimistic, u will get the job if u did well. Do not allow those who didn't scale thru spoil ur mindset. We will all smile..

So whats up with those Bsc guys that applied for lower cadre and said they wia upgraded and interviewed for positions matching thier qualifications, which they didnt originally apply for.

I don't think so, because during the application process they said we shouldn't be above 30 as at our last birthday. I will be 31 by August 16. So as long as you were not 31 before you applied, you are eligible, though we will score low in Age.

That is my hope anyway. God help us bro

I do honestly believe that what that means is that they are ready to publish the list. Moreso, they have just posted on the site reassuring us that the merit list will soon be out and commended us for our patience. I can't wait to see my name on that list.

God help us all. Will be 30 by November myself. If one is gonna score low on the age aspect which is just 5% of the overall score, then we are still on a safe side, as 5% is nothing when you have already done well in other areas.

IMHO, course of study won't affect either of Fire or Security. I can't say for which position it would apply, but I am very sure within me that it can't include either of the aforementioned.

Fire and Security didn't carry any specific course requirement. It was just any degree.

It was even stated in that APPS link that was posted this morning.

I believe it is the DMOs that have course specification.

I partook in the exercise and am very sure of the transparency of this FAAN reccruitment as the procedures were very well spell out. For me there is no cause for alarm, am hopeful and expectant as regards the results. I don't think this APP thing is relevant... it may have been a official stuff!
