I disagree with u on the education aspect. Western educattion reached Lagos long before 1895. At least CMS Grammar School would have been like 40 years old before Hope Waddel College was established. Check the dates.i 5 Likes |

aim5: Those 'English' surnames came about because the English were too lazy to pronounce Efik names properly and also English was the language of trade - so 'Nsa' became Henshaw. |
