My advice to you is, get both a .tv and a .com domain for your website.

Let's assume your brand name is iroko, you have to register both irokotv.com and iroko.tv while redirecting one domain to the other(and btw, irokoTv lost the domain name iroko.tv to a domain squatter. So, don't make the same mistake)

@OP How do you plan to make money from the site or are you just doing it for fun/as a hobby? It's not very easy making money from a new video website unless you have lots of money (hundreds of thousands to millions) to promote it or if the videos are unique videos from popular personalities/characters.

The videos that you upload, are they your original creations or obtained from elsewhere? Youtube has stringent guidelines on video ownership especially when you intend to make money off of the videos (via Adsense?)
