You are most wicked to try in any way to defend or justify this sort of wickedness! Like seriously? Apart from school teachers? For over a calendar year? I'm sure is ur parents were those affected or u r one of those affected u won't spew this trash. I'm hugely disappointed with u to say the least . So there's money to build chapels and round abouts but there's no money to pay poor workers? Shame on both of you. Wicked people.

What type of stupidity are u exhibiting? Where in my words was I justifying the situation?
Is that all your myopic mind can figure out?
All I quoted the guy for is make him understand that are no such stupid things as IMO being in huge debts.

Okorocha is not owing anybody. Imo State is not a State that you will owe and people keep quiet. PDP and jealous brothers from Anambra should face the reality that Okorocha is the most powerful Igbo man alive today. If they like let them write all the lies in the world we in Imo know and live with the truth. We all have relatives that teach and none is owed. He even pays extra 13th month every year.
what a nonsense comment!
A man has admitted he owes and promised to pay and you are here fighting to death to defend him and calling the news lie.

@ the bolded, this is the most stupid statement i have read today.
The comment is born out of deep inferiority complex.
Who are you competing with? You mean you sacrificed good governance at the alter of a crude and barren craze of having 'the most powerful man in Igboland'?

What do you think it would have taken us Anambrarians to elect Ngige and make him the senate president if we wanted to produce 'the most powerful man in Igboland'?

No wonder some say Anambrarian
are superior.

Even if you have to battle with your illussory competitors, use a sensible figure. Not okorocha- a man that contested for president three times and retired for governorship.

He wouldnt have even won the governorsip if he contested under apc in 2011 and yet only struggled to retain his seat.

Even obasanjo called him a failure when he (okorocha) tried to adress him as a colleague at an event in 2014.

Pls you will be doing Imo pple a great disservice if you adress such a directionless holigan as the most powerful man in Igboland.

And @ bolded, you wouldn't have spewed this thrash had it been that you, your breadwinner or your malnourished father/mother in the village are being affected by the pains and traumas associated with long overdue unpaid salaries.

It's fools like you that rush into conclusions easily. Am not so trained to insult the people that brought you into this world cos nairaland chat.
But as a toddler you are in governance, you will die even when faced with such.
I sympathize with your ignorance and dnt wish to continue the tango. Cos your fish brain wouldn't comprehend

I think this states should stop relying on FG every time, they should start building up companies, farms and other things that will generate fund, they can even tell international companies to come in, seens this will bring Job Opportunity, tax paid by the people will generate funds, as you can see with this system they have killed two birds with one stone... I know its not easy but I mean something has to be done...

1). Is the federal government responsible for the payments? If yes, does it mean the federal government has been owing Imo state for 13 months or more? shocked

2). Does Imo state generate IGR? If yes, can't it be used to pay these teachers?

No insults please.
This is not sarcasm.
It doesn't matter however it is.
Okorocha is just being very greedy, wicked, selfish and stupıd.

If he is owing his workers 13 months then he should be owing himself 24 month. Idiot sycophant. Always complaining unbehalf of buhari about meeting an empty treasury when they haven't been sworn in yet. S this is the game plan. You owe 13 months salary and you go about shouting change. What do you do as a governor to help your people apart from expecting oil funds from abuja @ the end of every month? Hollow headed governors. Everybody is calling Jonah today but when the excess crude oil money was disbursed to every state for development you guys were happy and you looted it dry now you trade blames. All of you will be exposed soon.
