Dear VO,

I am quite very worried. I checked the CEAC's website (https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx) for the status of my case number (LGS2014642007) and corresponding invoice ID (36562805) and got the message,

"Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. "

I do not know what this means, and would like to believe that the case is complete and it has been forward to the US Consulate Office in Lagos. If so, I do not know why we have not heard anything back since the past weeks this message has been displayed on CEAC's website? Is it that I got the case number wrong? Was the package sent off to my wife's address in Nigeria and for some reason, she did not receive it?

I checked the USCIS website, and it shows that our I130 with receipt number, WAC1490197846 has been approved since April 2014. I had also submitted a K3 visa application for my wife with receipt number, WAC1590253420. Whenever I check the status I get the message,

"Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information."

I have been calling consistently but nobody seems to have an answer for me. I really need your help dear VO. Thank you so very much.

I am now a US citizen (very happy and excited about that ), and have notified NVC about this so my wife's interview can be scheduled (As previously mentioned, her I-130 has long been approved).

Please kindly pardon my impatience - I will be getting my Ph.D. in the first week of May, and want her to be at my commencement. She's been a pillar of support to me with her encouragement and patience all the years we have been separated. I will be most grateful to have her present at the occasion to share in my joy. Please VO, is there a way I can expedite the process so she's here in time for the commencement? Should I submit a separate application for her to come as a visitor at least for the graduation ceremony? Will the application be denied, knowing that we have a clear intent for her to immigrate to the US eventually based on our pending applications?

I knw I may need to bring all original documents... But we are a lil uncomfortable sending the original marriage certificate thru mail...can I bring along just d photocopy?...
I should get email from nvc and d embassy instructing me on other requirements and items to bring for d interview right?
One last thing...as u know i have been through this process before and was denied because evidence showed we are indeed married and in a bonafide relationship... Do I still need to bring loads of phone records ....emails... Passport pages and photos to "prove" we are still married?....

Is NVC still scheduling interviews for June? I am a spouse of a US LPR. And my case is current in June. I have seen several people get interview dates after my priority date. In other consulates not Lagos. Is Lagos embassy completely filled up for June? Thank you again. We have been waiting for so long.

There's no priority-date-based waiting time for CR1s or IR1s. As soon as the petition is approved and the case is documentarily complete, NVC will schedule it for the next available appointment. So it shouldn't be long now!

I see your case in the system but I can't see anything wrong with it. Please keep trying to contact the NSCS -- or send an e-mail to USCIS. Their contact information is available at www.uscis.gov .

Please do bring all original documents as well as photocopies of those documents. We'll return the originals to you at the time of the interview. It's a good idea to bring relationship evidence showing that you've stayed in the relationship since your last interview with us. Good luck!

Update! The visa's on its way to the collection center today. My sincere apologies for the delay -- when I checked yesterday I could see that it had been approved, but not that it had been printed -- so I sent everyone looking to see what the problem was. But the visa had been printed; the system just hadn't updated for some reason. So I'm very glad you asked me to check. It should be available for pickup tomorrow but I'd give the collection center until Monday to give them time to unpack our delivery.

I dont think the issue is from the embassy. Seems NVC have a backlog of case complete with no interview. They are taking up to 1month plus to schedule interview for Nigeria now.

I have an IR1 case completed on 10th of April and no interview date yet.

If i called NVC, normal reply is that there is no slot available for Nigeria and the reason interview was not schedule. (i know this is not true)

4. By now I know more about how many officers I'll have each day, so I reply and say "We can take all those cases. Please distribute them as follows." This lets me schedule more lightly on the days when I know officers will be on leave or working outside the office.

5. Usually, some weeks later, NVC contacts me a third time and says "Our second round of scheduling is completed per your instructions, and we now have a backlog of such-and-such a number of cases." My goal as a manager is to always take all those cases. Sometimes there are so many that we have to be creative -- for instance, that's why we put a Saturday in June on the schedule.

6. Also around this time, NVC is also asking me how many cases we can take the next month (in this example, July). So there are days each month when, technically, there's no slot available for interviews, because we just filled June and July hasn't technically opened yet (although that will happen any hour now). Right now I know NVC's not going to ask me to add numbers in June again -- and, if they did, I'd have to tell them we're already scheduled far above normal numbers that month. I want to visit the US with my husband (for 2weeks) by December as he has never been there. I have strong ties to Nigeria ( my dad and brother are here, I have a good job, my husband and I have lands to our name and my husband's entire family is here) but as I have an immigrant case pending, do you think we would qualify for a visit visa. (Note my husband had been denied a US visa before. I have a valid Canada visa. We would be having a Europe tour in the summer). Please what are the odds that we would qualify?
