"Land based Umkhonto is NOT in service with SANDF."
It will be fully operational and in service in the next 1-2 years.

"Starstreak is the ONLY missile for SANDF air defence and it's fvcking maximum ceiling is just 1 km, like my house roof top."
Yes and? What do you think VSHORAD stands for?

"Get your facts right before you post stuff here, after you trap yourself with rubbish you start looking for a way out. Think before you post comments here okay? Olodo."
Maby you should start following your own advice.

"Stop posting photos and data of weapons and equipment that are NOT in service with SANDF"
All vehicles are in service with the SANDF, look at the number plating.

"Makes you look like a foolish white man that dropped out of secondary school and competing with Somalian immigrants in Durban for survival"
Only fool here is you!

Nope, you are the fool who has admitted he is posting missiles that are not in service.

Come back in year 2020 when Unmkhonto land based version hopefully may be in service.

Stop posting weapons you don't have today when comparing current military capacity, use the common sense I know you do not have

NAF has air to surface missiles, SAAF has none.

NAF has missile armed drones, SAAF has none.

NAF has ATR-42 battlefield surveillance, MPA, and ISTAR aircraft with radar range to search the battlefield over 300 km away, SAAF has none.

NAF has Beechcraft ISTAR aircraft for battlefield surveillance and ISTAR, ground radar range 80 km, SAAF has none.

NAF has over 60 assault/attack/armed transport/armoured airframe helicopters, SAAF has 12.

NAF has 170 air to air missiles for jet fighters, SAAF has 25 missiles grin grin

NAF has flown over 6,000 combat sorties in 6 months, SAAF has flown ZERO combat sorties in 20 years grin grin
.

SAAF has PGM"s, Glide bombs and stand-off munitions. NAF has none. NAF can also only use Air-to-surface missiles from slow moving low flying drones.

SAAF has missile armed drones - Seeker400

ATR-42 does not have this radar range you claim. This has been proven. South Africa has the Gripen which can perform the same ISTAR duties and in a contested airspace (unlike Nigerian ATR42)

If you consider a SuperPuma with a machine-gun a assault/armed transport/armored airframe helicopter - then south africa has over 90

Nigeria has old generation AA missiles. South Africa is building its own advanced generation missiles - supply is theoretically unlimited.

SAAF also has advanced fighters, superior air-lift, better (and more) light fighters, a bigger helicopter to soldier ratio, more advanced radar and air-defence equipment, more advanced attack helicopters and an intergrated data-link.

Today, SANDF has one of the worst air defence in Africa...1km max ceiling missile grin grin

Nigeria is building nothing as advanced as the GBADS system.

When the last phase of the GBADS programe is completed the Uhmkonto will enter service. We also have the most advanced VSHORAD and CRAM systems in Africa.

When completed South Africa will have the most advanced GBADS system in Africa

South-Africa is a basket case. Your mentally handicapped citizens are only concerned about killing somalis and zimbabweans.

A country where 5% of the population runs 90% of the economy. On the other hand, Nigeria runs a federation, with each state having an independent budget, able to generate it's own wealth, seperate from the Federal government.

The Nigerian economy is the largest in Africa, the most sophisticated, the most diversified economy in Africa. Nigerian companies dominate the African continent.

Nigeria is on path to become Africa's only super-power. We have an insurgency we have dealth considerably with. Turkey, Europe's 6th largest economy has been fighting an insurgency for 50 years and counting, India has the world's 4th largest military, but they've been fighting an insurgency for over 20 years, Spain only got reprieve after a political settlement with ETA, the Brits only came to a political settlement after 27years of fighting. The U.S, the world's only super-power has been engaged in insurgencies for over 20 years.

Nigeria with Africa's largest economy is the only politically and economically relevant country on the African continent.

SAAF actually lacks both, no aviation fuel to even train.....All Gripen pilots fall short of standard qualification hours.

Means South Africa has NO SINGLE qualified jet fighter pilot today.

SAAF cannot deploy in any air combat role at all.

The SAAF is only qualified to fly V.IP. services, it's now the military version of South African airways
.

Ok - cool story.

Problem:
22000 hours of air time budgeted for
14 gripen pilots (minimum)
Gripen flew over 800 hours in one year alone

These are facts. Not opinion.

GBADS programe is well documented.

If you think saying a MANPAD has a max ceiling of 1km is an insult then:
1. You dont understand what a MANPADs role is
2. You have no idea how a GBADS system works

Nigeria has 5 units of brand new 2010 versions of Thales moveable radar with 500 km range each, along with other radars.

https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/content/nigerias-president-commissions-tracon-system-delivered-thales

Total Radar Coverage of Nigeria (TRACON)
•The Total Radar Coverage of Nigeria Project (TRACON) was conceived as a key requirement for the modernization of Nigerian Air Traffic Management Infrastructure. It has automated Approach Area Control components as follows:
•Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR )STAR 2000
•Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) RSM 970S
•Integrated Flight and Radar Data processing Eurocat C and other associated equipment at the four major airports – Lagos, Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt as well as stand-alone MSSR RSM – 970 at five other locations: Maiduguri, Ilorin, Numan, Obubra and Talata-Mafara
