Yoruba in Togo and Benin Republic are particularly into voodoo and fetish stuff. It appears this is the case with Adebayor.
We read the report of what happened under coach Keshi. The story is told that he broke curfew and disappeared the night before a game and did not appear until after midnight. Keshi wanted to drop him but he said he had gone to "guarantee his goals" and that he would score two goals the next day. Allegedly he scored two goals and Keshi was silenced. When that happens to a player he becomes more dependent on such practices and ignores training discipline. That seems to be part of the problem and so to some extent he would appear to be the architect of his problems though it is likely that is how he was raised as a kid. Adebayor also seems to lack restraint and has often spoken out carelessly and disrespectfully of colleagues and managers. It is possible he does that with his family and when he is also the financier that may cause resentment

When you have the kind of money he has especially as a young man you cannot have true friends . It is almost impossible not even among fellow millionaires and that is where education comes into it. The truth is his career is going to end sooner or later and I would advise him to go to school like George Weah. He needs a mentor like a father figure or older brother to hang out with to learn wisdom(not a hungry person) and he need to stay away from all kinds of men of god of any kind.

I believe there are lots of things left unsaid, family issues as this are rather sensitive and it is better to sit on the fence unless you are an insider who knows everything about the family. I'd rather pray that the family reconcile and put an end to this mudslinging cos it won't do any of them any good.
