Most Nigerians do not mind the age of the leader so far we get the performance we expect, after all many younger leaders including our PhD president have proved beyond reasonable doubt that being young does not guarantee performance.

Bankole, Farouk Lawan, FFK, Oduah, Diezani, Abba Moro, Ibori, Alams, Kalu and many more younger leaders failed to impress Nigerians. So, why not try the old incorruptible patriotic leaders who have proved in time past that they mean well for the nation?

Let these "old leaders" train some sincere, principled and disciplined younger ones, perhaps the youths will prove they're ready after eight years.
May God bless you for this statement. You have said it all.

These are the same old farts that destroyed this country for the present generation.
When serious countries like china and brazil are tapping from their huge reserves of ivy league young graduates to infuse their country with 21st century ideas, our president is taking us back to the 70s when inflation was in double digits.
Mad country.

To add to your "brilliant" post above, l for one, l am more circumspect of our younger generation, going by their antecedents in recent past!
I look at the age of the kidnappers arrested recently and they are all UNDER 20YRS!

Maybe a "mixture" of "old experience" and tested "vibrant Youths" will do the magic but l fear for our current youths and their attitude towards money acquisition at all cost... it shave gone "Technologically Ballistic"! shocked shocked undecided

But more importantly, l dont want Prof. West to bore us with "whether he would accept or not".

Could he tell us HOW and WHAT HE WOULD DO TO:

1.) Reduce pipeline Vandalism?

2.) Ensure uninterrupted transportation of Petroleum products, from Depots to filling Stations?

3.) Ensure Nigeria can become a NET EXPORTER of \refined Crude/petroleum products, after satisfying "home needs"?

4.) Revamp our comatose Petro-Chemical Plants so that allied industries can benefit from it?

5.) "Tackle to DEATH", the Petroleum SUBSIDY CABAL and ensure that Nigerians, as citizens of a Petroleum producing nation, buy it at a reasonable price that is different from that of "Net Importers"?

6.) Inplant transparency, rule of law, due-diligence process and procedures in everyday activities of Govt subsidiaries, especially the NNPC and PPMC

7.) Put an end to illegal bunkering of Nigeria's crude Oil

8.) Probe the allocation of "Oil Blocks & Drilling Rights"... and make the process transparent instead of being hijacked by "cabals".

9.) Take a "wholistic look" at the development of the Niger-Delta areas, provide them with water, Roads, jobs and electricity, instead of enriching some useless militants at the expense of the ordinary Niger-Deltan while revoking all "Mafia-like Protection Racket" currently in-place and using the "hammer" on anyone who vandalises Pipelines.

10.) Support the President-Elect in his drive for ZERO TOLERANCE TO CORRUPTION, ESPECIALLY IN THE OIL INDUSTRY.

These are my "Ten Point" Agenda for anyone, ...whoever President Buhari elects as Petroleum Minister.
I f you need help, as Nigerians, we are ready to offer "ideas", Free of Charge!
wink

If am not wrong, Tam David West was once a minister of petrolum perhaps during OBJ tenure. What was he able to achieve then? How can we keep recycling leaders; doing same thing over and over again! And this explains better why we are stil where we were yesterday.

Those who were given before are stil those that keep geting again and again. Those who were once there keep ascending same office/throne over and over again. Then tell me why Nigeria will ever move an inch. Damn this leaders!!

“Let the appointment be made first. I will not turn down anything Buhari gives me because I know him that he can turn Nigeria around.

“So, anything that I can contribute to his Nigeria project, I will do it by the grace of God, because anything I do, God directs me. And if it is the will of God, of course, He will give me the strength. But anything that can help Buhari in his Nigeria project, I can do it by the grace of God,” David-West said.

Nigerian journalists are sometimes daft. Instead of asking him how he would run the ministry with the current crash in price, subsidy etc, they are asking about his age.

Tam West was one of the men who disgraced the Nigerian entourage to OPEC meeting. He stole a Golden wrest watch belonging to another participant from another country. He also embarrassed Nigerians too when he was accused of taking excessive tea. Who does not know how deep Tam was in bunkery? He has a ship which was used in stealing raw crude that time. Buhari government go sweet. He is busy packaging all the thieves to finish up this country. Come and see who won remove corruption

All this falsehood you eavesdropped on from drunk folks, would only get you this far.

1. He was accused of receiving a golden wrist watch as bribe, NOT theft (which was IBB's evil way of discharging him).

2. Taking excessive tea? Really? I'll give you that, if that makes any valid sense to you.

3. He was cleared of all the charges of corruption against him by the tribunal.

4. He has a ship . . . yada yada yada or not, I can't vouch for him, neither do I believe your myth . . . the burden of proof is on you.
