EagleScribes:oh k lets us go by your argument. how developed is uyo? you can only site few places in the entire state. how many companies have their headquarters in uyo? the only thing you can call development is the stadium. the average man from Uyo cannot afford the good things in life. the hotel le meridien is a private investment, ogbudu is a natural reserve. marginalisation my brother!!! the port in Warri isnt functional, river niger is not dredged. nigeria simply does not want to rescue the south south. that is the pain of the people cos; jonathan should have addressed so many issues concerning the south south. as it stands right now, extract the south south from nigeria and what you have is void. figure that out 1 Like |

U don't know what u r saying dude....u only look at photos and have never really been to these places, try and travel and see for itself before u sit at home and blab about what u don't know..in the east u can single out enugu as the best city but south south my dear, too many city's are well develop to the point that u would be confused when u start looking into them...stop picking out places that are fine and say they just have this and that, or condemning places saying they that is not functioning or not....go and see for itself and stop talking what u don't know... |

themodernman:it depends on where u get a plot. Right now I can categorically tell you land is scarce in the heart of town but lands still sell on the outskirts for around 4-6m. Girls full uyo. Just enter East housing in the evening and nights. You go tire I swear. But land are cheaper in Abak and Itak wch are very very close to uyo. |

jascon1: I agree with you totally on this but why is it that a Jonathan-led govt "marginalised" his own people? Who would be blame for that? It was not the south-south that the federal government marginalised. It failed all round in its duties to the states! And going by the definition of marginalisation, many other states apart for SS will also cry out marginalisation. I still posit that corruption and self-neglect are the problems of the south-south people, then marginalisation |

jascon1: going through your writeup I beg to disagree with you especially in akwa ibom state.am from aka ibom state and u said its only the stadium that is the only thing. am not sure you have been to akwa ibom.apart from the pish road in akwa ibom.we have the best infrastructure in the country. the list is as follows ibom tropicana,e-library,international airport.international specialist hospital, cottage hospitals all thru the local govt, ongoing construction of sea port at ibaka, independent power project at ikot abasi with 191 mega watts. beautification of the entire state.A visit to akwa ibom state will beat your imagination.Even we from akwa ibom are taken aback with the development in akwa ibom state. you can check out akwa ibom transformation on YouTube to confirm . all the projects are first of its kind and believe me none in Africa. good write up by you but as for akwa ibom you got it wrong. thanks and god bless you. |

Although the average Calabar person will tell you their city has gone to dust I CAN TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY COUNT HOW MANY UN TARRED ROADS ARE IN THAT CITY. The city is pristine, clean, peaceful and most importantly civil. Calabar is by far the best city in Nigeria.[/quote you know better thing. I rep cally anytime |
