The only question I have for barcanista and co is so GEJ knows and is in possession of documents and reports that indicted HRH Sanusi of heavy fraud yet he just appointed him as Pro-Chancellor of Uniben? Why is this president in love with corrupt people for Christ sake? I have seen him visiting him in Kano, even invited him to dinner at Aso Rock, spoke glowingly about him during his coronation. With all that trash barcanista posted up there? GEJ must bear the cross of all the crimes he condoned and be ready to go to jail for all of them. After all Doyin Okuigbe said he is the Jesus of our time.

@barcanista let me start with the conclusion "if they see nothing wrong with....." This shows you're working for a paymaster, not a patriot working for the interest of Nigerians you claim.. Your post should therefore be disregarded

On the case of FRCN, it was very clear that the institution had found Sanusi guilty even before investigation, what then did they want to investigate when they had already written to the president asking him to suspend Sanusi for fraud "even without investigation"? This was what the Lagos court based its judgement on.. You already know this anyway, but this clarification is meant for the unsuspecting whom this your article is meant for

On the case of Professor Yemi Osinbajo's "professional" services to Sanusi's witch-hunt, you of all people should know that it is "ethically" wrong to blame a lawyer for offering professional services to a client who approaches them, especially when they believe Their client is being witch haunted, i believe you're simply acting out the remaining part of the hate documentary on Osinbajo which the law court stopped the PDP from releasing before the election

On the issue of the missing $20 billion dollars, we both have seen the report of PWC which stated unequivocally "This report cannot be trusted" and also "The CBN refused to open its books for audit".. What more could've been more relieving for you and I if the CBN had opened its books so we may see the extent of Sanusi's crime as being alleged by FRCN?

Conclusion: This article is malicious, intended to deceive the unsuspecting public and aimed at diverting the attention of the good people of Nigeria from what is possible to be one of the greatest frauds perpetrated by a sitting democratic government in the history of Nigeria using Nigeria's major source of livelihood at the moment. The article should therefore be ignored and disregarded as a cheap blackmail targeted at the incoming government of Buhari.

Ruling in a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by Sanusi against his planned probe by FRCN, Justice John Tsoho said the FRCN’s action was in bad faith, besides being an abuse of executive power.

“Sanusi submitting himself to the probe panel by FRCN over allegation of financial recklessness will be like a cockroach finding itsself in the midst of fowls,” he said.

Are you saying that it is wrong for GMB to want to follow through on the PWC report (and similar ones) which was commissioned by GEJ himself?

Not at all bro...I want him to probe NNPC and all her subsidiaries as well as force PIB passage as this will reduce legal leap holes and avenues of leakage and looting...

I also want him to not single out NNPC because more looting is on through CBN of which Sanusi stopped its investigation... How can CBN alone report payment of over 38billion to printing and minting company while the general turnover of the company from business with all their clients including CBN is about 29billion...And we are not bordered...Is shagari/ekwueme saga about to start again?... who knows who's next?...maybe you who's encouraging it and laughing today....selective justice should be fought...all animals must be equal...no Napoleon here plzzzz

[s]Since I was born, I have never witness the kind of hypocrisy, double standard and demonisation that is currently perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari, the APC, Alhaji Sanusi, Osinbajo and their "good governance crusaders" against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, Allison Madekwe, and other government officials.

Alhajis Buhari and Sanusi and APC have been going about using every platform to talk about a "missing $20b", cheered by their hypocritical followers that pride themselves as good governance crusaders. They have deliberately gone blind over the fraud of CBN under Sanusi as outlined by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria report in February 2014.

Sanusi Indicted And Removed For Fraud
According to the report (see below) Sanusi was indicted for Gross Misconduct that bothers on fraud and financial recklessness among other offence. The FRCN subsequently advised Mr President to remove Lamido Sanusi from office for further investigation and probe after the explanation of Sanusi appeared more like a tale and outrightly illogical according to FRCN. The council indicates that the explanation provided by Sanusi is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.”

The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.”

April 2014: VP-elect Yemi Osibanjo Filed Case To Stop Sanusi Probe
Rather than Sanusi to prove his innocence in court, he filed a case in Federal High Court, Lagos to STOP FRCN and Other Security Agencies from investigating and prosecuting him through three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kanyinsola Ajayi and Kola Awodien.

13 May 2014: Lagos Judge Tshoho Grants Sanusi Prayers
High Court Judge John Tshoho rather than uphold the constitutional powers of FRCN to investigate probe Sanusi, he granted the prayers of Lamido Sanusi and BARRED FRCN from further investigation or probing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. In his own words...
“Prejudice is very pronounced in the language of that document. The language of the briefing note (transmitted by the FRCN to the presidency) conveys a sense of the defendant desperately goading the presidency to deal with the plaintiff,”
“The plaintiff submitting himself for investigation (by FRCN) is like the cockroach finding itself in the midst of fowls. Such a cockroach cannot be innocent,”.

http://www.tv360nigeria.com/?p=11923

Despite the fact the President Jonathan commissioned PWC to audit NNPC books to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of Sanusi's claim, Buhari, APC, Sanusi and their online agents that parade themselves as good governance and anticorruption apostles have been crying blue murder but refused to comment on the FRCN report nor the APC's VP elect role in shielding Sanusi for probe.

April 26, 2015: Buhari's Display of Hypocrisy
In his usual hypocrisy, General Buahri vowed to re-visit the $20b allegation but said NOTHING about the FRCN report. In his own word... “Imagine a situation where the former CBN governor who by God ‘s grace would later become the  Emir of Kano raised an  issue of missing billions of money, not in Naira but in Dollars, $20 billion.
“What happened, instead of investigating to know whether it was true that the money was missing or not, they simply found a reason to remove him. So these are the issues we are talking about…"

Contrary to the lies of Alhaji Buhari, Sanusi wasn't removed because he raised alarm, he was removed because he was indicted by FRCN. Jonathan also never kept mute, he commissioned PWC to audit the books. Buhari was also blind to talk about prosecuting Sanusi for the CBN fraud. Perhaps the Emir is as "incorruptible" as him(Buhari)

Lamido Sanusi and Stella Oduah
The so-called APC and their praise-singers have never for once called for the revisiting of the FRCN report, oh because it doesn't favor them. Ironically, these people were quick to call for the ouster of Stella Oduah that was indicted for "lesser" offence but demonised Goodluck Jonathan for suspending Sanusi that has lots of indictment on his neck.

Conclusion
Buhari, Sanusi and APC can continue in their hypocritical path of self-deception, but every attempt to twist history, intimidate or demonise Dr. Goodluck Ebelemi Azikiwe Jonathan shall be fully resisted. Since they see nothing wrong in the fraud of CBN under Sanusi of which they are beneficiaries, then they should see nothing wrong in whatever happens in NNPC or any Agency under Jonathan irrespective of whether or not any money is missing.[/s]

Their for of corruption is the worst. They are unreal.

PWC has audited the NNPC. And yet these folks are hellbent on pursuing this matter, like a fixed football match, to a predetermined end.

I wonder how you reason at times.

The audit report shows that further investigations need to be done. Were you blind when u were reading the part that said NNPC refused to open their books to them? Don't you know that the matter cannot be laid to rest? I can only guess that you didnt even go through the report.

Why are u scared? Why shouldnt we make corrupt Nigerians accountable for their misdeeds? Is it because the person in charge is from your village? Why the double standard?

Since they see nothing wrong in the fraud of CBN under Sanusi of which they are beneficiaries, then they should see nothing wrong in whatever happens in NNPC or any Agency under Jonathan irrespective of whether or not any money is missing.

Before he became an emir there was significant time to do that. The fool did nothing.
Besides, any law stops it even being an emir?
