I recieve update after i have rooted and ported cwr but befor download the up date i unroot so that it wont bricked my machine but after download i try to update but it refused to update because i have ported cwr but notting wrong with my machine it work fine.

Okay, the problem is not the rooting but what you did after rooting.

Did you install any app that has to deal with contacts or calling like trucaller or any xposed module that interfere with contacts or syncing of contacts. Check very well. If you do, uninstall them and reboot and let's see what happens.

If after this nothing happens. Try this. Make sure all your messaging apps like whatsapp, skype, wechat, BBM etc are installed from playstore. If not, uninstall them and install the official one from play store. Do this again and let's see what happens.

I installed xposed but I uninstall it afterwards. Almost all my messaging apps were sent to me through flash share coz they were all outdated. I can't download them from Playstore for now coz I don't have much mb. Should I try factory reset sir?

Before you factory reset. Why not Uninstall some messaging apps and dialer apps one after another and check if problems still persists. At least you can restore them from flashare if eventually they weren't the problem. Factory reset should be the last card, not first.

Except if you can backup everything on your SD card to a PC (I assume you know how to backup your apps and contacts to your SD card using tools like titanium backup and superbackup app), factory reset thereby unrooting, update your phone, and restore all your files and apps and contacts from your backup on the PC.

If you can't go through this wahala, then update can really wait.

I use titanium backup to backup my apps and app data and I use superbackup to backup my contacts, SMS and call logs. You can Google more info about these apps.

And backup is not necessary. I do it because I change my phone regularly and I don't want to lose anything in transit.

I even mentioned some people but I don't think they give a hoot. Only Lanre who is quite new to this thread (I might be wrong) offered a helping hand. Favoritism at its absolute peak.

Boss, I've done the factory reset but the problem still persists. I don't really think the factory reset I did was legit sef. Coz most features that were present before format are still there. Like font, keyboard, wallpapers, it's even still rooted sef. Just to add this, I did a backup ( didn't really get it though) yesterday through one blogsite Yomitech. Followed step by step through mobile uncle before I rebooted the phone. Hope this isn't the problem for not fully formating?
