Doltish article at best.

Where was the writer of this dross when the PWC report was released?

Not to mention PWC won't do such a shabby job in a country where there is accountability.

Useless article.

If you like cry till eternity. Deziani must go to jail. More facts will be revealed after May 29 and our eyes will be opened to the large-scale looting and corruption that has occurred during this administration.

Shebi stealing is not corruption? Na now dem go hear am.
Ndi oshi
Are you a Nigerian. she will never go to any jail except you writing must go together. she is never worst than other people that you celebrate and adore now. if jail must be, it must be to all that deserved it one not to selected view. let it be all from 1999 and not just cry DEZIANI. What is Ndi oshi? and are you different from her.

The writer made a few valid points but he seems biased....he didn't address the fact that some books weren't made available by NNPC which means the audit wasn't really a 'complete' audit....what if the books are made available and there's something really wrong?? What happens then? smiley

The op is just trying to justify stealing that is going on in NNPC! The fact $i.48b is unaccounted for should make the Jona administartion prosecute whoever is responsible for that money that is unaccounted for!
What the op has written is pure gibberish!

To solve this incessant corruption, let's address the issue of vested interest as discussed by former govnor Sanusi the emir of Kano
Re: Missing $20b: Alison-madueke’s Real Crime by sanmori(m): 7:08pm On May 15, 2015
It's very obvious from the beginning of the write up to its end that Mr. Akintan is a paid agent of those he is defending. Mr. Akintan should be reminded that the PWC audit report is now in the public glare and Nigerians now knows better. By the time govt changes hand come May 29th more facts will come to light about the rot under the watch of the petroleum minister. It may interest the public that the rot still continues even with just about two weeks left in the helm of affairs. There is a last minute scramble currently going on to Conner National oil assets by the allies of the minister. In the last 3 months at least 2 national oil assets had been taken away from NNPC illegally and handed over to private individuals by the petroleum minister. So Mr. Akintan you expect the new government to overlook all these misdeeds? In the words of H.E Sanusi Lamido Sanusi "Nigerians did not vote for an amnesty for anyone. The lines of investigation suggested by this audit need to be pursued. Any officials found responsible for involvement in this apparent breach of trust must be charged"

The guy is very realistic dear but he sounded one sided though... the new administration should audit the NNPC again and of the present but the previous should not be forgotten because it will be a witch hunting if others are left out and becomes persecution.... Everyone who misappropriated our treasury as a country must pay be he: GEJ, Dezieni, OBJ, etc
Thanks

A nice write up but a bit biased. OP should know it would have been business usual if it's not that we had change in government. Since 1999 there has been no allegations about some missing funds in the NNPC and if there are any we all know there wouldn't have been much noise about probe if PDP had won. Don't you think that? PDP has been covering up for each other since 1999 and even with the fact that PDP has been in government since 1999 we have seen head roles among the ministers and Governors anytime there's misappropriation of funds especially in OBJ administration. OP the only undoing of GEJ administration is that he has been quiet all along even when it's very evident that there have been misappropriation in many sectors. Take for example the interior minister, Abba Moro should have been a goner after the immigration scam, Deziani should have been a goner after there was allegation that there was some missing fund. That's to mention a few. GEJ have condone all of these things and it will be total injustice if the incoming administration to probe the GEJ administration but I will go with you with the fact they have to go way back but come to think of it,the question would be why has GEJ administration not done that? He didn't because it was business as usual but now there's a new party coming into the helms of affair. I will just say let's watch out for what happens after May 29th

Buhari should probe Tinubu OBJ Saraki grin
these people u mentioned ought to have been probed by GEJ and not buhari, Buhari main aim of probing, according to what he said, is to raise much needed monies for the economy. Going by his motive, I think it will be best to prove the last administration more because the are likely to have more money left of all the loot. The above is even more on point when u consider the fact that the GeJ admin had a record revenue from oil sales. Also GEJ had the chance to probe these guys but choose to not see stealing as corruption.
